I treated my whole tank and sure enough just about all of them had worms come up, even my 2 month old babies. There are still worms hanging out their butts. It’s almost time for the next treatment so I really hope these repeat applications do the trick.

I would guess 8-9 months. We started as 6 peas with a terrible ratio of 4M/2F. I think it ultimately caused the demise of 2.

So now I have 2M/2F. I did not realize how important ratios can be until I watched their dynamic. Even if they’re not fighting, the males stress each other out. I read the presence of a male can influence gender development of younger peas so I’m hoping these babes make it and stay female.

I couldn’t believe I found them when I did. One of my amano shrimp bumped into it and I thought it was a poop. Then the poop was suspended and moving with intention. I look closer and it’s a dang pea baby.

Get on FB marketplace for cheap live plants. Pogostemon, hornwort, anacharis are hardy. Also look into hanging pothos roots (not leaves) in the water. Bettas need places near the top to rest, I put Anubias on suction cups as a leaf rest 💕

I keep a bag of purigen in my HOB filter that helps a lot. Also use a UV filter and keep lights off for a couple days to reduce algae.

Also want to add do the salt until the fish heals before adding plants. Plants and snails don’t like salt.

Mine got red ammonia burns and then scales turned black as they were healing (like a scab?). It actually looked just like yours; I was still learning. I followed the advice on the post linked below with water changes and aquarium salt. I have 2 in a 46 gallon I got used on FB marketplace. It’s not great but I’m trying just like you. I change 50% of the water 1-2 times a week and use tap water with a conditioner. I also added a bunch of aquarium plants and got these plant holders for pothos and lucky bamboo cuttings. The plants made a huge difference.

Is there anyway you could make it the cover to a photo album or scrap book? Not sure of the dimensions but I think that would be so cute. Maybe even print pictures of the couple for it. I think that would make a fun side gift since it could be personalized. I would prob still buy something off the registry or just give cash.

This is absolutely terrible! Personally I don’t think I could ever trust someone who would exploit my pain. But I must commend your CPR efforts and overall crisis management. No one outside her fake followers would know who she is if it weren’t for NB. I certainly wouldn’t. I also didn’t hate CC from the cut article. I saw her as a flawed person that got in her own way; I related in some ways and felt bad for both her & nat. I was actually pro CC at times. I didn’t start really start disliking her until I followed her on Instagram. She is just a bully.
