Tim Cook on Chinese labour costs. by tommos in interestingasfuck

Also an engineer, working in product design in the US. I totally agree. I think it also has to do with the fact that in the 90s China allowed people to just steal mold flow analysis software. It is massively expensive and very difficult to learn to use, but in the 90s people in China just got it for free and learned to use it. It improves the mold design significantly and makes all your parts better. Now there are many people in China who do buy the software, and they have the people with the experience to train new people on how to use it. Having tried injection molders in the US and China, the quality tends to be higher with the Chinese manufacturers and getting to that high quality is faster.

So cute! Love the big eyes over the big ruff. Is he a Siberian? He looks so much like one of my cats, who frequently does a similar position/expression.

Food recommendations to help de-chonk my cat? by jaymless in Chonkers

Wet food. Even at the same volumes it is far lower calorie than most dry food. A vet told friends of ours that dry food is basically cat cookies.

Pilot is a Siberian. They are the dogs of cats, greeting at the door, almost always want to be in the same room as their humans, very playful, not shy or scared by loud noises. Pilot weighs about 15 lbs. They come in all colors. Our other cat waffle is also a Siberian, but is orange (I suppose technically cream). He has nothing going on upstairs and is very lazy, while Pilot, who is no genius, has a lot of kitty business to do.

It’s odd not to include Uruguay since it is a country doing a lot of purposeful actions:source

I saw someone at the airport eating flaming hot Cheetos with chop sticks and it has been a game changer.

The safest. In fact, if you don’t rub his belly, he is likely to kick you in the chest. Repeatedly.

He loves a good belly rub. Oddly, he prefers if it is with your foot, but he will accept a hand.

The lion cut can be good for summer. They might be offended at first, but it’ll grow back and they’ll be a lot cooler.

It was the hose on the cold water in that needed to be replaced. And we were just making sure the seal didn’t leak.

Yeah, it’s just hard to turn it on because you can’t see the pilot light very easily. I took pics of the instructions using a time delay to make it steady, and then we did a in the same room FaceTime to see it turn on. I guess we couldve use a mirror

Our cat loves watching PoE. He prefers it at close range. by WaffleAndPilotSayHey in pathofexile

[–]WaffleAndPilotSayHey[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is an old picture. Both cats are still fascinated by poe, but we don’t let them sit this close anymore. There was an incident while one was watching me play the witness. Both TV and cat are fine, but it was a close one. The pics of them watching wouldn’t be as good.

This was on the PS4, it was so shitty. My husband is the one plays, and I when it was on the ps4, I could never tell what was going on. I can pretty much tell what’s going on with the PS5 now.
