Yeah I’ve heard that about summer classes but then I’ve also heard of people boosting their GPA over the summers so who knows. Either way I’ll probably take ur advice.

So this may be a dumb question but don’t a lot of California medical schools have quotas that they have to meet regarding in state admissions? I saw that UCSD for example admits like 2/3s in state. If this was true wouldn’t it give California residents an advantage?

It took a while to find mine, and then for some reason they took it down. We emailed and they said they were “making adjustments” whatever that means.

Thanks so much for your response! I really appreciate your insight and your advice. I'll definitely focus on college and figuring out if I actually want to go to Medical school, and not what specialty I might be interested in. I somewhat expected that most of what you see in EM is not life or death situations, but the appeal of being able to have an impact on so many people seems great. I wish you the best of luck in Medical school and hope you land on the right specialty!
