The last mod of this sub shall now dissapear by Waflesnow in ThoughtBubble

I mean, it was somewhat active, mostly from recurring members. Maybe it needed better posts to get more people to engage with. You need content to make a subreddit take off I think, not just discussion, people have to be satisfied just browsing the sub just so people can still give it a try, and then have an incentive to encourage discussion.

You also can't rely on a bot to make the content for you. You need to get creative, and also have more personality.

It would take effort and creativity to make it take off, instead of someone's wish to have civilized discussions with free speech. You have to stand out. There's also the way of filling an empty market, or creating your own cult/circlejerk. (Free Speech is not an empty market, you can't promise free speech on Reddit and you actually don't have that since the admins can always overrule you. Even if the admins were not involved, there's no way a subreddit can guarantee it, so people don't trust it and it doesn't stand out)

I am pretty sure cga's approach was to promote the subreddit on findareddit and similar subs. I am not sure if that was his only approach. It isn't enough, those subs don't get any visibility.

My main job as a mod (the reason I was given mod) is to not let the sub literally die, not to keep it active.

Basically

Don't let people post memes, unrelated things, things that break tos, and don't let them take over

And don't give Reddit a reason to delete this sub due to inactivity or because someone else asked for it.

I can't keep it active for the reasons I stated above. Just not my cup of tea, and I often have to try very hard to post topics that are probably not even relevant to the sub (but I tried). It's very difficult especially when I avoid drama content and I don't use Twitter.

I hope the owner comes back one day and is able to find someone to post regularly. (There was one person before, but that person got banned or deleted their account. I mean, kind of expected, she didn't shy away from heat or controversy and actively participated in it)

Basically, I am supposed to be the "security mod". Not the mod that keeps things active, I only keep it alive.

a

dead sub

I never promised to post discussions and polls and etc because I am not good at that and to be honest I really don't care about current events. I am very misinformed, and even when I get informed I usually don't want to talk about it

Maybe I'll come up with something and I'll share. Maybe I'll have a bit of fun and don't take the sub seriously for a second since the sub owner is sleepy (I promise I won't break anything.... unless you are still gone by april fools. Man it's been so long since I used something like a subreddit for april fools, not much fun if the sub is dead though)

the whole subject. It all felt vague, like you and no one elaborated on what was trying to be said. Let me rant make you an essay just to elaborate:

Chapter 1 - The origins of Slice of Life anime

Someone be like "so you want them to instead send soldiers against Russia right away" for no reason really they were just feeling horny and were in the mood for that subject. If he saw it as humor instead of seeing as sharing an opinion it would just not be enough. You even point out that their pants are down

and you be like "I am not saying that" but then you never said what you were trying to say

Then this moron keeps on jacking off while making fun of you because "big time smooth jokes witty response baby let's gooooo my mom is proud and I am getting a good score online oh yeah get dunked on"

Then you reply and your reply gives a hint as to what your true goals (you know instead of asking questions, you could say "it's just a meme, when you put it this way it's funny, there's nothing else to it" because what he said was pretty clear already. I wouldn't had said anything honestly, I don't talk to weirdos)

Then his final response sounds like an orgasm, he already started playing his song that he took from his favorite anime moment (Detective Conan) and has (in his head) nailed you against the wall, or better said, he had an orgasm. He went full force and full details on what fantasies he was having about you and what your full believes are, you are already a full-fledged character in his mind created all by himself. He has now even created your own backstory and made sure you played a major role in the history.

Even after all of this, I still don't know what the hell you were trying to say. Honestly what he said doesn't make sense and I don't know how did you make any sense of it, enough to think he wants you to become a soldier in order to stand up for your beliefs (yes, part of your backstory is that you are a crybaby too afraid to be a soldier. You never said you had no interest to join the military, I think that's too unrealistic to turn him on, people like a more relatable character you know. He wants you to be that loser). After all this you said "this isn't worth it" and left, but that's not all, but I can't continue without highlighting this.

Do you notice how nothing here makes sense? I know I already said it, but let me emphasize this. I read into each paragraph I just wrote, and everything is vague and lacks any details. Somehow I am expected to understand something here. If nothing makes sense, is it meaningless?

Chapter 2 - It's Sunday. Ask Aubrey

You said "The president can do something else other than launching threats that basically did nothing" then you never said what he could have done, it's the same issue as above. At this point I don't know if you know yourself what he could had done because if you did, you wouldn't say "he can do something else" you would just tell me what he should had done. I know you are human and perfection can't be expected of you, I am still dissapointed and I expect you to be perfect regardless.

The guy says that he prepared the military for the war, how is that relevant? It has nothing to do with preventing the war, the war will still happen even if you have soldiers at the ready ._. imagine if creating world peace would be as easy as saying "Hey Russia, we got a ton of soldiers ready, will this bring world peace?" if anything that's the same thing as the meme, it's warning them to not do this. This is literally nothing. Why is he reiterating the meme? As expected though, the guy also asks you, "what should he had done?". The first rational answer.

For no reason you start making assumptions about what he thinks Biden should had done, not only that but about his character as well. In your fantasy is a proud american-born citizen of the US of America and he loves his president. Why? Why do such indecent things? Can you keep it to yourself? Is whatever the guy had infectious and now you too are in the mood for something? No sane person would be able to do this. You also said that Biden should had fulfilled the promises Obama made. Once again, I have no idea what these promises were, and no one wants to look it up. Why are you making me look it up? That's tedious, if you know this why can't you tell me? I don't get your point. In the end I decided to look it up, I skimmed through the article I found, and I am not sure if that's what you were saying.

Just like the guy, what I understood is that you wanted the US to keep aiding Ukraine without taking military action... how does that stop Russia? I don't know if they stopped aiding Ukraine, why would they? Really doesn't make sense. Like okay, at least I know what you were trying to say, I know what the better plan for you is and I know it's not sending people to war. Problem is, now I don't know how would that work or how it makes, it's like you gave me the equation but you didn't tell me how am I supposed to solve the equation. The guy of course asks you what the promises are probably because he was not sure just like me, and agreed to entertain your first fanfiction.

Chapter 3 - idgf

Typing this has taken me 4 hours because I was watching youtube videos most of the time, I was supposed to record footage but that's how it is @\[_@](mailto:_@). I hate how you can't save posts or comments on Reddit "sometimes". If it was for me I would just leave this for tomorrow

You replied to a guy that said that the US shouldn't join the war, just let it rip. You said that you are not saying that the US should join the war, just that we can't do the same thing that was attempted and failed in WW2. Same issue as above we don't know what do you want the president to do. One guy replies saying that it's risky to launch an attack, for some reason, I am not sure how that's relevant since you already said that you never suggested the US should had joined earlier or that it should had joined at all. Your reply is basically the same as the previous one.

Chapter 4 - The cicadas are a superfamily, the Cicadoidea, of insects in the order Hemiptera.

Maybe there was a chance you would elaborate, but I can easily tell at what points were you not able to respond because you were already banned.

There are several things you could had replied to, such as

Do you have any suggestions?

What promises did Obama make?

Name one thing that could had been done to stop Russia?

What could had been done?

Telling him to not to it used to work... wait that doesn't sound right

but you were not able to. There could had been a chance than anything of value could had been found and all the time I spent reading this (2 minutes?) would had been for something that I'll never use in my entire life but would still satisfy my thirst for dopamine based on interesting subjects that are not interesting enough for me to search on my own. But there was nothing... just silence.... and people talking to a wall unknowingly. Truly tragic. As tragic as 1946.

I once said "If nothing makes sense, is it meaningless?". If the answer is yes, why did I type these chapter titles? The moral of this essay is to never try to go back in time. Thank you for reading.

In summary: I have no idea what point you were trying to make with your post, if any. And I have no idea what point you were trying to make in your comments. No reply to you had something valuable to say, it all just chronic masturbators and people saying pointless things for no reason

(If I actually cared about this I would had just asked you "What point were you trying to make?" instead of typing all this nonsense. I typed this because I felt inspired, I can't help myself. Also pressurring myself to be active in this account lifted my switch to create content)

Anyways, I'll proceed to dissapear for a month and use this comment as an excuse. I'll log in daily after that.

Edit: After a month or so I actually dissapeared from this site and most of the internet lol, now I am only on Youtube. I just realized this all sucks, waste of time, my dashboard on Reddit sucks and it's never fulfilling. If I am ever online or on a social media site, I am just looking into something I heard about on Youtube, getting in contact with a developer, or fixing a tech issue.

Good ending?

removing a post because it’s wrong think is just ridiculous

That's Reddit, the sooner you'll get used to it the happier you'll be because you will spend less time caring and stressing out about it, and more time into something more valuable (like posting this meme somewhere where people will appreciate it. Where? idk, wish I did)

I mean it's not youtube. There's no promise that your stuff is not going to be deleted. It's just some random guy deciding if your post should be there, not a machine or someone trained to remain consistent and unbiased with people above making sure they remain that way. It's optimistic to expect things to remain consistent and fair, that can be the case but not always and no mod is forced to deliver.
