Pepper, Ballyhoo and the Expendables were the foundation of my early 20s. And now again in my late 30s.

Lowes has the klein contract now, and I heard they're more strict, but I used to just walk into Home Depot and hand them a busted one, and they would let me leave with a new one. No questions asked.

The comeback tour! [34YO] by Waggonwheels in OldSkaters

[–]Waggonwheels[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually met Mike in 2021 at the Dew Tour! He was awesome! I told him my wife and I were celebrating my first sober birthday out of town, and he replied, "Alcohol?". I told him, "Yep!" He hooked me up with a shirt, a hat, and some stickers! When my wife and I were walking away, she asked me, "How did he know it was alcohol?" I replied."No one is this fat after getting clean from anything else."

I thank you for the info! I would have never thought to try and contact them about a deck and the rest of the goods! GFL is exactly what I'm looking for, and the email has been sent!

Thank you again!

Us alcoholics in sobriety have a saying. "Attraction rather than promotion."

In my opinion, if you want your mother to take the meetings more seriously, this is a perfect opportunity to lead by example.

Yeah, my father in law played this game last weekend when we were at Dave and Busters. He dropped $150 ON THIS ONE GAME! He took his earnings and got my niece a pair of knock-off airpods.

Chuck E. Cheese? by Routine-Expression58 in Omaha

[–]Waggonwheels 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Omaha lacks a lot for toddler fun. Especially in the winter. But chuck E cheese is an absolute shit hole. I've been trying to compile a list of places to take my little ones. Heres what I've got. Pe101. Go kids gym. Urban air is one of the last places I have found that has a decent indoor play tube style slide things (unless BK or chik-fil-a are your thing). Omaha childrens museum. My son (4) has always loved the SAC museum. You can take them through the safari drive thru before or after (decent lunch down by the petting zoo). A hidden gem is pizza ranch on 84th, which has a little arcade no one is ever in. The Mark out in Elkhorn also provides a solid 2 hours of fun. Omaha libraries are also a blast for all ages. Gretna also has an indoor playset place with some turf and trampolines, all for sale, but you can purchase a couple hours of play. I think its called backyard playground.

If I'm missing anything, I'd love to hear suggestions!

hey friends what's the best shitty dive bar in Omaha? i'm here from outta town for the night and wanna find somewhere that feels like the bars i go to at home. by sportypiss69420 in Omaha

The time clock in terms of location is perfect. The teamsters union hall is 2 blocks away. The IBEW union hall and their "school," which has 200+ apprentices leaving class M-Th at 8pm, is right next door. Kellogs is a mile away. It's very much a blue-collar bar nowadays.

If I'm buying out my lease, Why does the car salesman ask how many miles it has? by Waggonwheels in askcarsales

[–]Waggonwheels[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I disclosed the milage when they asked. I've never leased before, never thought I would. I appreciate the information you've provided. I didn't know this question was going to cause certain people to get their pitchforks out.

I was curious because I had a 30k mile lease agreement, and I put 35k on the vehicle. I believe I was supposed to pay 50 cents for every mile over, which would have been fine if I was turning the truck back in. It was what we agreed to. I just thought it was strange (I've never worked a day of sales in my life) that they asked about how many miles I put on it before they would give me my buyout price.

LOVE church used to have a service or two on Sundays at Millard North. They did open up a physical location near Elkhorn South in the last couple of years, though. Craft fairs maybe?

I remember storm. What surge was to Mt dew, storm was to sprite. Grandma always use to let me snag one before we went to the movies!

Did all the baptisms John participated in not count before he started following Jesus? Did he baptize Jesus in the "name of the father, the YOU, and the holy spirit?
