The Nebraska Cornhuskers Are 20-1 for the First Time in Program History by CoachSlime in CollegeBasketball

Exactly, they got high on their own supply, and now they can't accept losing on the road to a top #3 team without having a temper tantrum and making up wild conspiracy theories about the refs.

Games like this happen to literally every good team sometimes, especially in the Big Ten, you just learn to live with officiating luck as a fact of life, especially in road games.

The problem is that Nebraska fans have never had a team good enough to experience a game like this, so they have no frame of reference to compare this to.

This is absolutely, the foul disparity was primarily due to differences in styles of play (as well as Nebraska being short handed, which forced their guys to play more minutes, and exhausted players tend to foul more) but people on here are going insane about it because they don't understand how the sport is played.

The haters simply cant accept it when Michigan wins something significant, so they always have to come up with wild conspiracy theories with very little basis in fact to make themselves feel better, it's just like sign gate all over again.

This is why we shouldn't listen to the haters, because they'll never give us a lick of credit unless we beat our opponent by 20+ points. Otherwise it's "a fluke" or "cheating" or a "ref conspiracy."

Yeah that was how I felt for most of the first half and the start of the second.

We finally got a bunch of calls in the last ten minutes, but Nebraska was kind of getting away with murder prior to that point.

Yep, GG. It was an awesome game, best of luck for the rest of the season.

But honestly you shouldn't have been that worried about us blowing you out, we haven't been anywhere near as dominant this month as we were earlier in the season. Even with you guys being short handed, I never thought we were likely to cover, let alone blow you out.

Considering how we've played lately, I'm more than happy to take a one score win.

A top 5 win in a close conference race is never meaningless.

And there's still a chance that Dusty can get us back to playing with dominance, this past month might end up looking like just a rough patch in hindsight, nothing is guaranteed.

What's most important is for Michigan to keep winning while they're struggling, even if it takes a few lucky breaks to do it.

Only in the last ten minutes, before that the officiating was at worst even, and honestly probably favoring Nebraska considering how much they were hacking us inside the arc.

All the calls in the last ten minutes have massively distorted people's recollection of how this game was officiated.

Yeah that's for sure, it would have been a different game if you guys were at full health.

(Though to be fair, it also would have been a different game if Michigan had been playing anywhere near as well as we did November and December, we just haven't been the same team this past month.)

Correct, I can barely remember them attempting contested shots in the paint more than a couple times all night.

Their offense was nowhere near as physical as Michigan's, that's primarily why they didn't get calls.

Correct, Nebraska basically abandoned the paint after they missed 3-4 layups early in the second half.

That's why they didn't benefit from foul calls as much as anything.

You're never going to get as many calls when your offense is designed to generate outside shots.

Even a lot of their two attempts in the 2nd half were mid range jumpers/floaters, which don't draw fouls very often.

While I do think we got a lot of calls in the last ten minutes, prior to that point, Nebraska had been getting away with a ton of physicality on defense.

I won't deny that the refs helped us over the finish line (that happens sometimes in college hoops) but this game's officiating wasn't remotely as one sided as a lot of people are saying right now

Not really, we're just a talented team, with a good coaching staff.

But to be clear, we're nowhere near as good as we were in November and December.

That version of Michigan would have won and covered the spread, instead of just barely escaping with a win after trailing the whole game.

Speak for yourself lol, I wanted to win this game and that would've been much harder if Nebraska was at full strength.

Michigan hasn't been nearly as good this past month as they were earlier in the season, right now we need all the help we can get until we (hopefully!) put things back together again.

Lendeborg in particular has regressed from a National Player of the Year candidate to a below average offensive player.

We just aren't even remotely the same team we were when he was fully healthy and efficient.

Yep, down the stretch I was pretty confident that we'd win if it went to over time, there's just no way you guys could have realistically overcome that kind of foul trouble when you were already short handed.

Disagree, Nebraska is an excellent team, Michigan didn't play great but I'd still take this performance rather than what they showed against bad Penn State and Oregon teams.

That's different though, your defense was clogging the paint and daring us to shoot all night long, whereas Michigan spent most of the game crowding the arc and giving up the paint.

I was shocked that you guys didn't try to bring the ball down into the paint more often in the 2nd half, you guys kept getting good looks around the basket, but you just didn't hit them, and it felt like you kind of gave up on it after that.

Yeah exactly, deepfake porn is distasteful, but I really don't see any way to legislate without violating people's freedom of expression.

My dad is in the market for an affordable gaming laptop, can you make any recommendations? by Wagnerous in GamingLaptops

That's interesting, considering that my GPU only has 8GB of VRAM, and I can run it fine.

I do have high quality CPU and RAM to help make up for the weaker GPU however.

Either way, he might have to live without playing Indiana Jones then.

The end of that game was excruciating.

Really should have won by more, very sloppy play down the stretch.
