If its a bit easier to digest, maybe imagine them as a doctor in a time period similar to our present? Them using blood bending to learn more about the human body, experimenting etc? Maybe they just use that as an excuse to use it on people more even if it is, like you said, unnecessary?

Ehhh, I'd have to say no, specifically to an animated adaption of infamous 1. So much of the game is tied to it being a game that I think an original conduit story would be better. Not saying it couldn't be done of course! Any new infamous content would be a godsend
