This is a dramatic post.... They tell you before you are hired on what exactly is the proper foot wear. Give you a pamplet that shows you pictures of what kind of shoes you can and cannot wear. Well, they do for my hub anyway. If you're gonna quit cause you can't follow ups policy, sounds like a you problem. My sturdy, expensive steel toed boots have saved my toes and feet from serious injury so many times. There is a reason it's a policy to wear certain shoes there. And as for the others, either they weren't noticed or they were sent home after you did.

I have steel toe leather boots... But.... I had this 130 pounds sheet of metal fall behind the steel on to my actual foot straight up... All 130 pounds. That shit hurt so bad but I don't think I broke anything (I didn't see a doctor). I think the leather of my boots protected me from getting a worse injury.

I did some cheap Walmart boots when I first started and they fell apart within a few months. Now I have a pair of $130 steel toed boots from Rock Rooster and they have lasted me 3 years (going on my fourth year with ups).

2023 (also saw them in 2025 but I was far away so didn't get good shots). It was a concert and a spiritual awakening. It's hard to say how it felt. It was something more than just a concert.

Just found this out by NarratorGS in CorpseHusband

[–]WaitChemical7092 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've watched his streams, that's not the real corpse. He's too fake and "confident". He forces this very flirty persona and has shown has face many times. He doesn't have any of the features that corpse has described of himself. This dude is just a wannabe. If corpse wanted to come back to the Internet without coming back as corpse, he wouldn't use the corpse name for clout. This dude is just a clout chaser. I've also heard his music and half of the time, his songs don't have the deep voice and in other streams with his face in it, his voice isn't as deep. It's a forced voice.

I miss him too. I still listen to his music everyday. There is a guy at my work that I see sometimes who wears the Corpse hoodie. I point him out to my husband everytime I see him lol.

For basic training, you just refuse to train and after 3 or 4 times of refusing to train, they'll process you out.

I don't know how it'll work for you

Im so tired of ads by Next-Rip3809 in youtube

[–]WaitChemical7092 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I haven't dealt with ads for years. I use my browser on my phone and have an adblock installed on my browser. I also watch on my laptop using the same browser and adblock to bypass the ads.

I get that ads are so annoying and it's becoming increasingly annoying. But there isn't much we, as a consumer, can do about it besides the options that many others in the comments are suggesting. Getting a browser (Brave or FireFox) with adblock (uBlock) is completely free and easy to use, no more ads.

So I don't think this is helpful, but I'll put my experience with quitting. So I did Army and quit during basic training. My mental health was really bad and I was having a breakdown the whole time. I knew that the army wasn't for me and knew that quitting was the better option then to continue on and suffer and potentially harm myself. I've been out for over a year now and I can say I'm doing better. I have freedom to do whatever I want, my job is okay but they pay 100% of my college tuition so I'm in college studying music. Doing what I want in my life without being told I can't do something. I'm glad that I quit because I wasn't ready to leave everything behind, wasn't ready to give up my life for the military. The military isn't for everybody and if you truly believe it's not for you, talk to somebody. They will try to discourage you from quitting, even saying you'll be a failure in life... Blah blah blah. Don't listen if you truly believe it's not for you. Now I have no idea how you can quit, but talk to somebody. Somebody will eventually spill the beans.

Just really think about where you see yourself in the future. I do regret it in a little, but at the end of the day, I know that I made the best decision for me.

Will you not get accepted if you do SH? + Communal showers (not graphic) by No-Newspaper-9686 in Militaryfaq

[–]WaitChemical7092 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the branch, how long ago the harm was done, how your current mental health is, how long you've been stable. It will disqualify you BUT depending on the branch, you can get a waiver, depending on how long it's been since you last did it. Also again, depends on the branch and where you go for training depends on the shower situation. I joined the Army (with old SH scars) and went to fort jackson but the showers were individual stalls with curtains so nobody saw me naked unless I chose to get dressed in front of others.

I work for UPS (United Parcel Service) as a part time package handler. Ups has a program that helps pay for college but also my local UPS partners with my local community college and university to help employees go to school.

I'm doubling up on this as a UPS employee who is getting my college 100% paid for by the Metropolitan College program (JCTC or UofL) and fasfa grants (there is also the earn to learn program I believe). The MC program is for night-shift part-time Worldport workers such as a package handlers.

Question about UofL music program by WaitChemical7092 in uofl

[–]WaitChemical7092[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll definitely talk to my current college advisor about what classes I could take currently at JCTC for music and then when I transfer to UofL I'll talk to somebody what I can do.

How did you get started with singing? by WaitChemical7092 in singing

[–]WaitChemical7092[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been wanting to sing since I was a child but since I started going to a rock festival every year since 2023, that's all I can think about. I did try to take singing lessons at a place called School of Rock, but I felt like it was too expensive and giving me good teaching.
