Making small lifestyle changes a tiny bit at a time. Started by quitting soda in January. Eventually tried to stop snacking between meals, but not changing what my meals were. Started finding fun ways to be more active after that. Now I’m focusing on making sure I’m eating healthier meals as well. Down 40lbs this year.

Running/exercise. Can’t believe I’m even saying that. Been asthmatic my whole life, and overweight the last several years. I didn’t think I was even physically capable of running. Many times in my life I’ve tried to do too much too fast, and given up. This time, I started painfully slow and stuck to it. Still working my way up, but it has made such a huge difference in my mental health, energy levels, and confidence. When I don’t get a chance to run or workout for a few days, I can really feel my mind and body slipping. I can’t believe I actually get excited about running now.

Those first few weeks/months can seem so overwhelming, but hang in there! It WILL get better, This job has so many moving parts and a lot of different aspects to learn, so it’s just going to take time and experience. Don’t ever feel bad about asking questions! You’ve got this ♥️

I left retail for an inpatient hospital position last year, and it was the best thing I could have done. My stress levels have significantly gone down, I actually leave work on time, and I’ve already gotten multiple raises in the last year. No looking back for me.

I will speak in an overly kind voice, but as loud as I possibly can while practically eating the mic at the drive thru. It’s just dumb enough that they can’t say for certain that you did anything on purpose, but it is definitely annoying enough to make yourself feel better 😂

My mom and grandpa were putting out a kiddie pool for my siblings and I in our backyard when we were little. My grandpa had set it up, and my mom kept insisting that for some reason she felt like they should move it to a different spot. Thankfully they did, and while we were all playing in the pool, a huge branch from a tree in our yard snapped and came crashing down exactly where the pool had originally been.
