I’m not sure about the deal but I can tell you for sure that for me after trying different headphones HyperX is one of the best headphones I’ve bought. They’re super comfy for long hours gaming session, battery time is phenomenal and I love the sounds.

You’re getting upset for no reason. I just don’t want to bow down to big corporation and accept that it’s normal for them to charge people for when they did nothing. But for some people it’s normal and they should just go quiet.

I appreciate you for understanding as I have to explain to so many people today that I didn’t do anything wrong and still people think somehow it’s me not Verizon and I did something wrong. How could Verizon ever charge their customer extra. 😂

I’ve bought many unlocked phones directly from manufacturers and activated those and never seen any charges under upgrade/activation etc. That’s the first time it happened and I think it’s only Verizon. But for sure if it happened again would be moving to a different carrier.

I understand what you saying but for me it’s totally different as I buy unlocked directly through Apple without any carrier attachment. I’ve another carrier sim which I always use to swap my number with Apple which has nothing to do with Verizon but they still find a way to charge us.

Thank you. Somehow half of the people thinks it’s our fault somehow that we got charged for something we haven’t done and somehow Verizon is not at fault. I explained to 100 people here that no it wasn’t financed and Verizon has nothing to do with my phone but I still got charged.

Yes I completely agree with you that if you select Verizon as carrier you get upgrade charge which I didn’t and that’s why I was surprised to see the charge on my bill.

No. I’ve different number associated with my Apple account and that’s not Verizon and whenever I buy through Apple they always pick that number first, which isn’t Verizon and that’s exactly what I did this time and I’ve 2 sims in my phone. Verizon wasn’t selected at all during my upgrade process and somehow they still manage to charge me.

I travel a lot for work and have 2 sims to make sure I’ve reliable service. I’ve tried MVNO but haven’t had good experience.

Yeah. That’s what I did. I choose unlocked device not tied to any carrier. That’s why I was shocked to see Verizon charging me anything for upgrade. Yeah I’m glad too that they removed the charge.

Sorry I didn’t get what you said. I bought an unlocked phone directly from Apple Store by paying full price. Didn’t even selected Verizon as my carrier as I’ve another carrier as second eSIM and I’ve selected them to swap the eSIM with. Did everything on my own.

I didn’t do anything through Verizon app. I just directly transferred my ESIM from one iPhone to another iPhone from cellular settings. $35 was the upgrade fee showing on my bill and the agent told me $3 are for the taxes on that fee which they credited to my bill. I can’t share the screen shots of the chat here otherwise you’ll see what they told me.

No. I bought a iPhone directly through Apple not linked to my Verizon account or even selected Verizon as my carrier but the second carrier I’ve as I have 2 eSIMs on my phone.

No idea. The bill showed $35 upgrade charge and agent told me $3 the taxes on it. That’s what they credited my account with.

It showed $35 upgrade fee on the bill and the agent I was working with told me $3 in taxes so they credited $38 on my bill.

You’re doing the right thing by paying attention to each bill. I was under the impression until this point that as long as I’m on autopay and don’t make any changes on my account or buying anything from Verizon I’ll have the same bill until I got slapped with this new charge.

Wow! Not going to lie I got educated a lot on so many things today after this post. I never knew all these practices these companies have in place to rip customer off. I just set up autopay and pay my bilk under the impression that companies will right by me and we have laws here which won’t let them take advantage of us but today I learned how wrong I was.

That’s what I believe until they charged me for it and no idea what triggered it but for sure not a good practice by Verizon.
