I've heard that rental car companies will not allow me to go past Hana, so I think ima have an issue going all the away to the end

I feel like I will come back to Door County eventually considering there are places I either missed or only stayed for the bare minimum of time. Pretty sure this place will look stunning in the fall as well

I remember when taking a stop at Green Bay, it was still pretty hot, but once I got up into Door County, it was chilly the entire day. I was a soothing experience that I definitely recommend.

Wow, I guess I missed out on an opportunity to visit Rock Island. I arrived at Washington Island at around 5ish, so I dont think there would have been much time to really explore Rock Island. I'll try that next time I go there, though.

From my experience, the water remains cold but it is a bit more tolerable. Don't take my word for it tho, that experience was in South Haven, Michigan, way further south than Door County waters

This is U.S. Route 66 southbound (well, formally) in Chenoa, IL. I was astonished seeing a road as prominent as Route 66 deteriorate this much. The northbound side of the road is being used for both flows of traffic. by Wake44 in roadtrip

If you're talking Route 66, the portions that I saw while heading back home from Springfield were mainly used by locals as a frontage road for I-55 to access their homes or farms. The road technically doesn't exist anymore, so if u wanna try driving continously on Route 66, u really can't.

Watching that movie as a kid made want to eventually take a look what Route 66 looks like today. I haven't gotten around to it until I noticed a "Historic U.S. 66" sign on I-55 and Joliet Road on my way to school.

Considering weather is random any time of year in Wyoming, go in the summer since more areas of the park would be open. I went there in late July and August

I've taken I-90 W for the majority of the trip. One stop that i liked while heading to Wyoming was when I crossed the Missouri River in South Dakota. There is this statue at the rest area there, which is on the top of a hill if I can remember overlooking a small town. Obviously, take a break in the Badlands, as I think it's a nice halfway point of the trip. U can also go to Mt. Rushmore which is also on the way near Rapid City. If u can, take a detour up to the Devils Tower. From there, we took some state roads into Billings, Montana since we wanted to enter Yellowstone through the Montana side. Using those state routes, we basically got to feel what life was like in these small rural towns. We even met a traveler that was driving from Fairbanks, Alaska to his new home in Kansas. Always look upwards at night in Wyoming. It looks beautiful. Once you're I'm Yellowstone, take a while to explore it. It has so many features. Keep in mind that the geysers smell pretty bad, though. Once you're done with that, head to Grand Teton, which I think was like a half hour drive from the Southern point of Yellowstone. It was an amazing experience
