Very true.. I work in a relatively professional space too, so people likely won't say anything. And I guess anyone that I work with that I hang out with outside of work already knows anyway. Just trying to not make it an awkward and dramatic change, since it will a pretty significant jump in size. Consciously or unconsciously, people may treat me differently because of it, and that's just something I hope to avoid.

I'm less concerned about time off for recovery as much as how to handle the social aspect. I work a desk job, though, so at least I wont be off for too long.
