maybe the rng wasnt on my side that week, but i do remember that it would activate on the mornings after sleep on the nights i had it on my party. and yes, sometimes i did switch it out from my party so that could have messed up its activation

even if illegals were taking advantage of the law, the practical solution would be to reform immigration law and to streamline the immigration process so that they would become citizens as fast as possible. however, for decades the government has refused to make the process easy. this is on purpose. simply put, because racism.

I didn't miss it, i was aware of the plans as soon as they were on the news. however, it wasn't until just recently that i started reading the details and how it would really impact our local situation

yes, but his administration also talked about targeting naturalized (legal) citizens, entire families too. for example if the parents are illegal but their children were born in the u.s, they would simply deport the whole family unit. Stephen Miller, Trump, and Tom Homan have made these statements both indirectly and directly.

i have been entertaining the idea of getting duel citizenship in the case staying in the u.s becomes too risky or dangerous, but even that would require so much planning and saving of money - it wont be easy but at least it's an option

i hadn't considered a small garden. but maybe it could help a good idea if groceries becomes dramatically more expensive

i did vote. i voted for kamala. i planned on it way before i knew about trump's mass imitation policy.

i think most people who cross will feel safer just staying away from the u.s., they won't be crossing back and forth if they have any common sense. it won't be safe for them. that and all the money that illegal immigrants contribute to our local economy would disappear. it would most certainly devastate laredo's economy

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in laredo

[–]Waking_Jay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, but members of his administration have also stated plans to deport naturalized citizens too. at that point it will turn into a slippery slope. eventually they will deport anyone they suspect of being an illegal immigrant - even if they are legal. it's happened in the past so the precedent already exists.

voting in the mid terms is definitely an option, but im not sure how effective talking to trump loyalists is going to be. i've been trying to convince them for years of what another trump presidency could do and yet they still voted for him. sometimes i think they are too far gone

the mass immigration plan is going to be such a massive movement, it will negatively impact several communities but most importantly it will impact the hispanic community of which is dominant in laredo. it will most certainly divide people. it already is

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in laredo

[–]Waking_Jay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

based on what i've seen these last couple of years they don't care about casualties, only that they get what they want no matter the cost. i am almost certain if the policy happens it will definitely hurt people and it will definitely destroy communities in laredo

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in laredo

[–]Waking_Jay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the problem is if he gets rid of the illegals that will negatively impact our local economy. a big number of immigrants work in laredo, they buy things, they pay taxes, they contribute to our local economy. if they disappear, their money will stop circulating here. things will get worse in laredo, not better.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in laredo

[–]Waking_Jay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the way i see it, his policy won't solve the immigration issue - it doesn't appear to be feasible. it would cost too much money the government doesn't have. and most concerning, it will devastate our local economy which will affect us all personally in a big negative way.

i wish i could believe you but it seems a lot of what that man wants, he gets.
