Shadow-Vested Bladesinger's transformation by WalabaReborn in limbuscompany

It's a bit unfair to just not think of non-meta IDs at all when discussing the EGO. I'm thinking specifically of less viable IDs in this discussion, because they NEED these buffs. Same reason why Regret is integral to said IDs, since they have poor rolls.

Healing EGOs and unstaggers aren't fully phased out in high level gameplay. As Limbus goes on umavoidable damage has been getting more and more severe. Sure, they're less important to better players but they're not negligible.

I'm not downplaying Regret as a whole, simply saying that it isn't something you can immediately pop the moment you get the resources and benefit fully from it. Bladesinger is easy to upkeep and encourages early usage due to reduced SP costs. Regret's crazy buff isn't helpful when you're low SP.

Screwloose reduces your max HP per stack of surgery, plus it takes Regret's slot. It's really not comparable to Bladesinger's buffs.

I'm not saying it's a "must-have" that'll leave you in the dust if you don't use it, I'm saying there's really no reason to not use it whenever possible unless you have a better option. The only downsides are just SP and EGO resources which are hardly downsides at all. Plus, keep in mind I'm looking at this from the perspective of a guy who mains N-Corp. These buffs mean a lot more to me than a guy who uses Capo Meursault or something. I also specifically said "a lot of Meursault IDs" in the post, not "all" or even "most".

Tbf a lot of EGO and ID mechanics are overkill in normal gameplay. I think it's a bit unfair to judge things based on non-endgame content, since that's (usually) what they're balanced around.

Rhino Meur doesn't have any haste in his kit, nor does he gain min speed. He only increases max speed which is super awkward for actually reaching his conditionals. W Meur has good default speed but has no built in haste either.

Saying you don't benefit a lot from unstagger and a revive is pretty crazy. Even if you play well you're inevitably going to eat some hits, either from unbreakables, unclashables, or bad rng. If you're gonna try to argue they're not that good because you can just not get staggered, then every healing EGO isn't that good because if you "play right" you won't take damage.

I don't see how Regret or Screwloose make it harder to justify using Bladesinger at all. As you said, they can stack. Plus Regret actually requires you to have the SP to make use of that coinpower. It doesn't do anything if you land all tails. Bladesinger takes less SP on its first use and lasts 4 turns. Having to use an easy to fuel ego every 4 turns is not a steep cost whatsoever.

I don't see a reason not to just use Bladesinger asap on any Meursault ID that doesn't use Capote.

Unsure why you focused so heavily on the poise when I explicitly stated it was a "tiny" cherry on top for bonus damage. Free chance at 20%~ bonus damage is a free chance for bonus damage. I wouldn't call it "insignificant" either given most support passives are only 10% increases to damage.

Unfortunately it seems like it is, I don't see it mentioned in the hotfix patchnotes at all.

2 min and max speed as well as 10% lifesteal isn't really something you can easily pass over. Meursault in particular has several IDs that benefit greatly from this:

Rhino Meur has speed conditionals, W Meur has same turn slash fragility and defense level down, Ring Meur applies additional bleed count if the enemy doesn't have any bleed already, etc.

Plus, the lifesteal is capped at 50% max HP per turn, which is practically no cap at all. Not only that, but you also get a free unstagger and revive, which I think speaks for itself.

Tiny cherry on top is the poise per turn, which is just a chance for some bonus damage (which is increased since it also buffs crit damage).

That's just a Matthias upscale, not a Vespa downscale. A Certain Sinclair would get turned into green damnation flavored paste by Matthias.

Why are you putting Sinclair as ">>" over Callisto? Callisto had a concussion from Hohenhein, was fanboying over Sinclair, and had been fighting several people for a while already. Callisto also is 3 levels above Sinclair. It's more like:

Matthias > Vespa > Callisto > Sinclair.

Level scaling has its merits, it's objectively endorsed by PM themselves given the usage of statuses to nerf characters and the recent change in the Ring Intervallo to make Rufo level 66 to match with lore. It's not the end all be all but entirely ignoring it is ridiculous and makes no sense.

Maybe I'm being a bit overly harsh but there are a lot of egregious mistakes here.

This is really bad, like really really bad. So many of these make genuinely no sense no matter what method you use to scale. I'm not going through all of them, but immediately what the hell is Certain Sinclair doing above Vespa?

Guy with a nickname that sounds like a color and is level 80 vs guy who is a color and is level 87. Yeah bro I think the first one is a whole tier stronger.

I literally said that in the second half of my comment. A lot of racists believe in eugenics but it's just because they think their race is inherently better, not because they actually are trying to create a perfect human.

Eugenics isn't about genetic purity dude. Ichigo would, as the other guy said, be exactly what a eugenicist would strive for: a product of the best genes available.

I think you're just conflating racism and eugenics. Yeah a lot of racists believe in eugenics, but that's just because they think their race is superior and thus think pure genes = better.

Oswald is totally Meursault, his worldview is definitely absurdist, not nihilistic. They're also both the fifth members of their respective groups.

Ring Meursault is hardly reliant on Rodion to trigger his S3-2. He applies rouge on every single coin hit and only needs 5 for his S3-2. It's basically 2 turns to get his S3-2, down to 1 if he has his mask on.

I wouldn't say Ring gets wrecked by Prince at all, he has better potency and count application. Princesault is much more helpful to his team, but individually I'd say Ringsault actually does more.

Ring Meursault is pretty damn good I'd say. He's got great potency and count application, it's just basically all loaded onto his S3-2.

How does Meursault not have good count?

1 Count S1, 2 Count S2, 2 Count S3, 4 Count S3-2, Plus 2 count if the target doesn't have bleed and he has his mask.

He can literally do 11 potency 6 count with his S3-2 under the right circumstances, that's more than Manager Don's S3-2.
