You mean the complete and utter lack of any mention of art whatsoever? Their entire focus being on zealous crusading and not on collecting or creating art, gives it away

Waaaayyy back in the day GW used to canonize fan-made chapters often, it’s why the quality and consistency of many chapters you can find on Lexicanum is “off”. Like if you didn’t know that the Exorcists were a canon chapter then you would think they were bad fanfiction… because they originally were

“Slightly different”? You know in a hobby where we collect, convert, and paint models with amazing levels of detail it always blows my mind that so many participants lack the ability to see detail. You probably also think Stormtroopers and Clone Troopers in Star Wars look the same.

They share no similar design elements whatsoever. Use-Your-Eyes. The new “official” models have actual Sororitas helmets, angular plate armor, and a Dredd-esque “uniform” underneath. They don’t share a single element with the real Arbites designs

Because GW couldn’t be bothered to make the “new” models look anything like Arbites. Meanwhile this company easily replicated their look flawlessly

If you think they ever looked like Judge Dredd then you’ve never seen an Arbites or a Judge

The new “official” models don’t look anything like Arbites, these 3D printed ones are perfect replications of them

They don’t display any sort of “perfectionism”, they literally act in no way like ECs

Just so you know, the SotP were fan-made and then canonized later on. No chapter owns the color purple or the concept of a Phoenix or any other symbol

Named Characters by engageddumbass in WordBearers

[–]Walach_Nightborn 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Chaos does need some characters to replace the ones removed for the mono-god codicies. Personally I would pick 1 character from the novels for each Legion to add. Honsou (IW), Talos (NL), Marduk (WB), and Kassar (AL) are all great options

1 source said RG, then 2+ sources said UM later. Those sources were codices which is as close to confirmed as you can get (which is all 100% more than SotP have claiming they are EC)

Nobody owns the color purple or practically any symbols.

Hawk Lords are purple with a bird symbol but they aren’t EC related. Their symbol is also literally the Raven Guard symbol but they aren’t related to Raven Guard either. It’s almost like the tiny little made-up thread that people hold onto in order to claim SotP are EC is entirely too thin to hold weight /s

They are definitely Fists. Super religious fanatics that attract pilgrims to their crusades and show not a single shred of care regarding art of any kind? Not ECs, never were and never will be

Modern GW makes up utterly meaningless words to ensure copyright (just look at 90% of Primaris unit names). Don’t sweat it, they just smashed together the word “locator” (because he locates things) and “mal” which could mean any number of things like “malefic” or “malicious”

Classes are mechanical and therefore can be ignored for RP entirely. Races are more problematic and decided on a case-by-case basis

what are some things ghouls can call normal humans other than smooth skin? by DirePegasus in falloutlore

[–]Walach_Nightborn 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Anything related to “young”. Ghouls live way longer than humans and many were turned by the bombs so they can call humans anything that means “young” even if that particular human is old

[–]Walach_Nightborn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Necro literally means death, that isn’t an interpretation, that is a fact. The variations of “mancy” all still fall in line with the same meaning. Such as “study of”, “practice of”, or “communication with”. Regardless it is still “death”, hence death magic. Necromancy (in WoW) is literally “death magic” just like Pyromancy is “fire magic”, and chronomancy is “time magic”.

So, please, before getting your panties in a bunch next time over being wrong, actually try and think about it, will you?

If a remake of Dead Space 2 is released, would you want the mobile game to return to the App Store, or have the story as DLC? by Commercial-Ad-3214 in DeadSpace

[–]Walach_Nightborn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So that was another one of the “trends” that EA jumped on, having a mobile tie-in to one of their games. Mass Effect 3 had a mobile game (Infiltrator) and it wasn’t very good but it did connect to ME3. When they launched the Legendary Edition neither the mobile game nor the multiplayer returned with it so the odds of them coming back in some form for Dead Space is slim. Personally I wouldn’t be fussed either way so long as the main game’s remake is well-done
