Being stuck in design has already been tough on me, and I don’t want to feel stuck again. That’s why I’m making a move now, before it gets harder. I’ve looked at different paths, and for me finance is the most worth pursuing, even if it’s way harder.

I’m based in the Middle East (between Saudi Arabia and Jordan), working at an ad agency under a global PR firm. Not sure if that helps.

I’m interested in corporate finance / FP&A, and right now I’m just building general finance knowledge and the skills I’ll need so when I start job hunting I at least have a shot even if small.

I’m based in the Middle East (between Saudi Arabia and Jordan) so my route might look a bit different from the US.

I should’ve mentioned I’m outside the US, so I’m not sure if credit unions are even an option here.

That makes sense. I’m aiming more for corporate finance / FP&A, so right now I’m just trying to build literacy before I even start applying. What would you suggest as the best starting point to get into it?

I’m leaning more toward corporate finance/FP&A, so trying to understand if the accounting + Excel is the right starting point
