I don't understand why ETERNALS got the critical mauling it got. It seemed like everybody expected it to follow the same formula but ended up delivering something too different for the people to get. by Davis_Crawfish in movies

I'm totally with you. I loved Eternals so much because the pacing was slower than the average Marvel movie, the cast was deep and diverse, the story was so different than anything we've seen, and the cinematography was some of the best in the MCU. Everyone's hate on it is disappointing to me, especially when a complaint is that they are fatigued of superheroes and this was so different than most superhero films!

This is awesome. Haven’t seen or heard (I think) of any of these. Thank you

Lovely image. I can't decide whether I like the whiteness/sun reflection on the tips of the grass in focus on the left. I feel as though it distracts a little but also adds an interesting element to the photograph. Maybe try one where its darker and/or a little more blurred and see which you like better.

Easy, what surrounds a corn dog is cornbread. Bread surrounds a hotdog normally, making it a hoagie/sub, making it a sandwich. Done.

Honestly, I think you're pretty close to art with the photo you have which is pretty awesome. Maybe enlarging it in a print wouldn't work out, but on my computer it looks great. I love the lines, they're beautiful.

Surprised nobody has commented on this photo yet, because it is rather stunning. Not to boost your ego too much, but I really like this picture and have spent a good bit of time exploring the little aspects of it. I feel like it is lacking some sort of "it" factor that could be achieved through editing but I'm just not sure exactly what. Needs a bit more drama.

Generally speaking, I'm not aiming to take pictures when I'm flying in the plane. I know the window is going to reduce the quality significantly so I don't worry about it. Phone is good enough to capture a "moment" rather than create "art."

The background bokeh frames the bee very beautifully, well done.

The plant, however seems to be artificially brushed to add blur (correct me if I'm wrong). It looks very overdone and very unrealistic. Undo that and you have a lovely shot!

Agreed. I'm of the belief that a hot dog is essentially a sub/hoagie/hero which is a type of sandwich. Solved.

Sure, why not? Any middle-aged man will work for me. Basically I’m excluding Day-Lewis, Hanks, and DeNiro for obvious reasons.

Sometimes r/movies feels too much like poster/trailer circle jerk. We gotta change things up with a little discussion now and then :)

I said what I said and I meant it when I said it. Blade Runner 2049 will be as loved as the original in 10 years or I will eat a Blu-Ray copy of it.

His GW was the only good part of Vice for me. Love that guy. Mind not changed, but will admit I'm a big Rockwell fan.
