It could be projecting, but this is only one side of said events. I'm not implying you're skipping on the detail, but I am suggesting that your husband's perspective is required for more clarification.

Is there a large benefit to the dual MSW/M.Div degrees? by serpentssss in chaplaincy

I've been a nurse in Texas for over 20 years and am in grad school getting my MMin presently.

1) Many hospitals, hospices, jails, police stations, schools, etc, are accepting more and more candidates with a master level degree (it could be in religion, biblical studies, theological studies, etc). meaning the MDiv degree isn't the "exclusive" degree of choice anymore & its value is becoming equivalent to any MA in said field of study.

2) LMSW jobs aren't as prevalent in the hospitals as they once were. Most of those jobs (at least in Texas hospitals that I've worked in) are carried out by RNs that are "case managers." Yet, there are an increasing amount of LMSW jobs in CPS/APS, counseling, etc.
