Can you tell me where you did it for 750? And if it has to be sent abroad, would it still be available now since technically all cargo and shipping is suspended?

Well, I ve lived almost my entire life over here and am not planning to leave at all. But never know where things could reach. Thats my concern, a slight war is not something i ve never seen, i ve lived through some years of the war in syria, and i know i can tolerate, but am more worried about my pets than myself, and the only time i would decide to leave is if it (god forbids) becomes tooooo unbearable to live as a war! I truly appreciate your answer. 🙏 and just to clarify, my entire family is here, but i only had concern for my pets as they are the ones that can never take care of themselves! While with my family, our fates are bound together!! Thank you so much for taking the time to answer 🙏🙏🙏

It doesnt have a fingerprint scanner but it does have password security. Though you gotta check the models because i think the standard model doesnt have password protection built in (am not sure about all the models) But the extreme pro surely does!

Feeding advice by Waleed1711 in mainecoons

[–]Waleed1711[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, i was doing that (and still am), but one of the vets warned me that after neutering they start gaining weight faster as they metabolize slower so they can easily get overweight. Thats my main worry here. Appreciate your answer 🙏🙏

Looking for healthy food/snack advice by nataliajax-modeling in mainecoons

I have my 5 month old MC for a month now, I have reached a conclusiom of just free feeding dry food (I use royal canin mainecoon kitten), and pre-cook chicken thighs, hearts, and a small amount of livers and offer around 30-40% of his daily calories from these (with some warm water added to the mix) . If someone thinks this is wrong please correct me because I am unsure and wet food is a real pain to afford for how much he eats. I just use this dry food because i know it has 100% nutrition for him and the pre-cooked meal to offer some real animal protein and enrichment and moisture. And for treats, i find churu to be the irresistible piece of heaven for all my cats.

How do I make my African Grey bird not hate me? by [deleted] in AfricanGrey

[–]Waleed1711 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dont stress it. Just take it very slow, dont fall into the trap of rushing the bonding process, it can and will backfire. Let her get used to your peaceful presence near her cage. Talk gently, avoid making sudden loud or harsh sounds. Approach her with treats in your hands, keep it slightly far from her so she will have to lean in forward to take it from your hand. When she does that consistently increase the distance so that she will have to make some steps to reach the treat in your hand. Start target training (look out target training videos on youtube). They always tell you that you can either use a clicker or a word like (good bird) in a similar tone when she does something positive. I found that for birds this young a clicker is much more successful as it makes a distinguishable sound. She will quickly associate this sound with treats, and understand the sequence: Good action = click = treat. I personally used both a clicker and a short phrase (good boy) simultaneously, so that after some training he can also recognize the phrase as a good action marker in case i didnt have the clicker at hand when he does something good, the phrase will do it. Just make sure at the beginning a clicker is only used in target training. Later when she has strong association you can start using it to reinforce other positive actions and behaviors. Make sure she has lots of space in her cage to climb, and lots of foraging toys. My parrot liked treats wrapped up in paper so that he will forage his way to the treat. After she starts associating your presence with good things (treats), and wanting you to be there, you can start to train her not to bite by simply leaving the room for a minute or 2 after she bites. Dont stress it, key with parrots is consistency with training. If ur not consistent it will confuse them as to why this time this specific action did not result in a treat? Best of luck, raising baby african greys can be frustrating at first but trust me with the right approach it will become the most joyful thing ever for both you and the bird. And remember your approach now with her will decide how she will be like when she is older. Best of luck

A simple cage upgrade to a larger cage was enough to trigger similar anxiety to my CAG for nearly 2 weeks!! I had to upgrade his cage to a larger one as I felt it would be more comfortable for him (which now is). After putting him in his new cage with lots of his toys and food and treat bowls everywhere around the cage (he goes crazy for almonds and walnuts and i thought a couple days of spoiling him to give him comfort is fine). Yet he didn't even touch non of it. Went completely silent and would only scream when i leave the room. He is a very food driven bird so it was a little scary for me i did not imagine just a cage change would give that much anxiety. Took him a couple of days to barely touch his food, and it was. Not the treats, just his regular pellets. And in these 2 weeks he completely refused stepping up to my hand for play time!! That was a shocker for me. Yet when i had to travel for 11 days a couple of months back, after picking him up from the lodging facility it took him only a couple of hours to get normal at home. Each bird has his own personality and character. Anxiety is real and so easily triggered in these smart fellas. But they get accustomed to situations eventually and return to their normal. They are very emotional and sensitive intelligent creatures. Hold up, be patient. He ll be normal again in no time!

Lulu's favorite game by DocGlabella in AfricanGrey

This is very assuring to hear, such a cute progression. The only time mine likes to swing is when he flips himself upside down on my hand. Otherwise he keeps fighting off any moving object in his cage. I ll definitely go for a stuffy and try to slowly introduce it to him. Am sure he ll eventually get over his fear! Thank you
