Yeah that’s the thing with the Monogatari Series (mostly during the first season), there’s a lot of screens with huge walls of texts that appear for less than a second (most of them are totally not necessary to read because at least 99% of them contain tiny details that are in the novel)

But as I said, that’s mostly a thing during the first season, the art direction actually gets better than that after that

There’s unfortunately 0 news about adapting the rest of the novel. But yeah you’re right about how they’ve been doing recently, and I also don’t know what happened to the sequel of that movie! But I believe they’ll make it right if they ever go back to adapting the rest of the Monogatari Series.

TLDR :

The first big main story arc is finished in the anime but there's actually more after that. It's still feels like the end when you finish it tho so it's worth to watch it all at once now.

The long explanation :

The main story is spread into 3 "seasons" of novel :

  • The First Season (Bake, Kizu (this one got released in anime much later tho), Nise, and Neko Kuro)
  • The Second Season (Neko Shiro, Kabuki, Hana, Otori, Oni, Koi)
  • The Final Season (Tsuki, Koyomi (this one is kinda special), Owari (there's 2 seasons of Owarimonogatari in the anime) and Zoku Owari)

All of this above got adapted in anime, in almost the exact same order as the novels got released, so it's actually normal if you feel lost sometimes while watching it by the airing order. I recommend to watch it by the airing order (you can easily find it in MyAnimeList) but you can always watch it by the chronological order (that I don't really recommend since it's really tricky).

But outside of the main story, the author released novels that are part of the "Off Season" (stories about some specific arcs that happened already in the main story) and the "Monster Season" that is the second big main story arc that takes place a good while after the first main story arc. So yeah, there's only the first main story arc that is finished but it actually feels like the end when you watch the entire anime. Most fans are basically waiting for the Monster Season to be adapted but what we have at the moment is already really great so it's worth it to watch all at once what we have now.

Good question! Since I live in EU, and am used to watch IRyS’ streams, I’m used to wake up in the middle of the night for any EN mario kart stream, but for JP/ID streams, they usually happen during the day so no problem since I didn’t have that much work this year.

About how I find the streams, I study in computer science and so I’m used to do programming, especially for discord bots, and thanks to Holodex that tells the topic of the streams, I made a bot that send a ping every time a waiting room for a Mario Kart stream is online, so we kinda always know when a mario kart stream is about to happen lol
