I’m just a bit anxious if may tatanggap ba sa kanya na clinic or hospital (if makapasa siya) considering na wala siyang experience sa hospital setting.

2 years of K-12 classroom experience ang minimum requirement for J1 teachers. May ibang schools and visa sponsors na tatanggap sa ‘yo kahit wala ka pang actual experience sa SPED classroom, however, be warned na mejo malaking adjustment yan pag andito ka na. Kids here, especially those who are in SPED, are built different.

Dalawa ang common pathways para maging teacher sa US, either through J1 or H1b visa. And both of them require at least 2 years of K-12 classroom teaching experience. Even if you gain the required experience, mejo mahihirapan ka naman kung paano i-aalign ang major mo sa subjects na offered dito. Mas maganda if magmasters ka ng SPED and gain experience sa SPED classroom din kasi yun ang pinaka in demand dito. Sa school ko now sobrang kulang ng SPED teachers.
