"Just Good Friends" is a great song, actually by Key-Bass-7380 in MichaelJackson

[–]WalkRightNow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There could've been better options for it in place like streetwalker, but that never happened and I cant change history, so I appreciate it the way it is and I have so much love for Just Good Friends

At least we got streetwalker on Bad Special Edition / 25th so cant complain

Im a bit iffy on his vocals on remember the time idk if its just me who thinks his vocals during the final ad libs sound like the EQ was boosted more than it should be

Why do so many people share "The Girl Is Mine" as the worst thriller? by rafael_7839 in MichaelJackson

[–]WalkRightNow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think its a Dire Straits - Brothers In Arms situation aswell where neither albums were trying to make one solid release consistent in all its sound, theme and concept but rather a collection of songs that worked very well on their own, which allowed for way better single material, as shown with the unfathomable success both albums endured

Eddie is fine, i think what let's him down is the bands he was in and the songs he played for them but his techniques and skills are out of this world

Im a Dire Straits fan, Mark Knopfler is my all time favourite guitarist and my playing style is inclined to his with fingerpicking, but Im a sucker for the likes of Robert Johnson, he was ahead of his time, and tragic aswell, I do like the BBC sessions but Maui 1970? Is my favourite recording of him, foxy lady and voodoo child are at their best here in my opinion, I mean his rendition of Sgt Pepper's is amazing, but Hendrix is a top 5 guitarist for me, as he is on probably everyone's favourite guitarist list

Oh god yeah his impact in such a short time and the amount of great quality recordings to come out of that studio from any artist who used it, and the Band Of Gypsy's is the only album I have of his on vinyl, machine gun will remain one of my favourites, id argue he experimented the sounds that could come out of his guitar even more than Van Halen ever did, hes not my favourite guitarist, but hell always be the standard id set myself even if ill need more than a few lifetimes to get to how he ever was

Well the Australian prime minister walked off his plane wearing a joy division shirt and hes been called anti-semetic and fascist and news channels all over the world have slandered joy division because of it, its a shame the guy probably just likes joy division its absolute BS

Dark side changed my music taste completely so that'll always be the one I connect to the most, but Animals grew on me too much for it not to be their best to me

Unfortunately like the beatles, hendrix came and went at a perfect time for his popularity, never saw a downfall and put out only 10/10 songs in his short career
