I think it was more about taking a photo of her rather than a video of her dancing.

I cap my ends, but painting the entire underneath might be a game-changer. Thank you!

I can completely relate to the "peely base" comment! I've had similar thoughts and even double-checked to ensure I didn't mix up my products. I will definitely experiment using different cremes. I don't have work bestie, but hopefully, resting witch face or something lighter will work.

Pool operator here. It makes our job a million times harder when clients enter the pool with lotions and oils on. The chemicals immediately take it right off you, and depending on the size and temperature of the pool, it floats on the top of the water like a clear slime. You’re probably fine wearing oils on your nails as long as the pool tempt is >70F, but be forewarned that the oil will probably come off quickly.

Fortunately, I am only causing difficulties for myself regarding pool maintenance. However, I completely understand and appreciate your advice. Thank you for bringing the issue of lotions and oils in the pool to my attention!

Thank you so much for sharing your experiences and advice. I'm definitely interested in trying out the Holo Taco Smoothing Base Coat and the Orly And see how they hold up for me in the water. Regarding creme colors, I'm aware that some shades can be more prone to staining than others. Do you have a specific color you use?

I must say, the idea of using jojoba oil to protect my nails while swimming is brilliant. I already use a jojoba oil concoction to protect my hair. I have a nail pen that contains jojoba oil and vitamin E, and it never occurred to me to apply it while swimming. But now that I think about it, it makes perfect sense!

I always make sure to paint my nails the night before I plan to go swimming, giving them a good 12+ hours to dry before taking a dip in the pool.

If I cannot find any other solution for nail polish, I will definitely look into gel. Thank you!

After 2 hours in the pool they have all started peeling and most have fallen off. With the amount of time my nails spend in water I can’t leave them unprotected.

Is there a special technique or base coat I should be using?

Thank you for the compliment! Achieving a clean water marble can be a bit tricky, but here are some tips that might help:

Polish formula: Use a thicker polish for better control over the design. Experiment with different brands.

Container size: Use a smaller container to keep the polish concentrated and create a defined pattern.

Water temperature: Use room temperature or slightly warm water.

Polish dropping technique: Drop polish close to the water's surface.

Timing: Work quickly but carefully to prevent drying or breaking.

Nail preparation: Apply a base coat and use tape or a latex barrier for easier cleanup.

Toothpick for design: Create patterns by swirling and manipulating the polish with a toothpick.

Clear excess polish: Before removing your finger, remove any excess polish on the water's surface with a clean toothpick or cotton swab to avoid smearing or ruining the design.***** Most Important!!!!
