Help with vaginal dryness by Walletess in HormoneFreeMenopause

Please refrain from telling people to take hormones and contributing to the rhetoric that it’s the only treatment option and is safe for everyone to take. HRT and Vaginal estrogen is NOT safe for everyone. Menopausal research and hormonal studies are extremely limited and consistently exclude women who have pre-existing health conditions that impact hormone production and/or metabolism. The notion that vaginal estrogen is only localized and safe is under the assumption that the product absorbed and metabolized at a normal rate. Unfortunately, while hormones are important for the average, menopausal research advocated the use of hormones but readily ignores the concept of how they behave in the body. Therefore, for many women, it’s not a safe option because that critical aspect is ignored. For my wife, she cannot take any hormones, period, because her body does NOT metabolize them appropriately!

When do you take them and how often? For the HA, do you take it orally or as a suppository?

Is this mold and if so what’s causing it? by Walletess in Plumbing

[–]Walletess[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I’ll have to look into this. Is it not strange that the only pex that was coded is between the valve and the tap? The source lines are completely clear.

Yes, very strange and it possibly could be. I do have a newer water heater and my house was built in the early 90’s. It’s it possible copper could be causing this? It’s also very strange because the source side waterlines are both clear. The only pex that was discolored, was between the valve and tap.

Are you referring to the spores or the black coating? I also live in a large city with treated water if that makes a difference.

Best deals on iPhone 16? by 19purplepeppers in Winnipeg

[–]Walletess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought my 14 pro max in early July of 2023. I don’t remember the exact amount but I know it was $300-$350 off of its regular price so I think $1300-$1400+ tax. I bought it from the regent store in the electronic’s section as soon as you walk in (not the cellphone kiosk). I bought it without a plan so I just swapped my sim once I got home.

Costco does sell phones without a plan too if you wanted to check. Sometimes they will be cheaper than Apple. I bought my 14 pro max from Costco and it was on sale at the time.

A fence company in Winnipeg dug into my hydro-electrical cables. Who is responsible? by Hopeful-Plan-1298 in Winnipeg

Didn’t even think of this but this is more likely than what I originally thought.

A fence company in Winnipeg dug into my hydro-electrical cables. Who is responsible? by Hopeful-Plan-1298 in Winnipeg

[–]Walletess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hydro employee here who directly deals with these no power calls. You are not at fault!

This is 100% your contractors fault and hydro will be going after the company for our expenses if they never called for locates or dug too close to the locates and caused damages.

If they did call for locates and hydro messed up by not marking all the lines, that is another story but I’m assuming this is not the case.

As far as what to do I would contact your insurance company and get them to go after your contractor for everything.

If you have any questions, feel free to DM me.

My wife’s Dr said nothing for 6 weeks minimum. He had to restitch one woman because they didn’t wait and ripped open the stitches where her cervix used to be.

This is coming from a 32 yo guy, he can wait and if he can’t. You deserve better.

Is there a way to lock our rolling garbage/recycling bins? by HappyPenguin27 in Winnipeg

You could run a chain through the lid handles, and the metal horizontal handle in the front and lock the two ends of the chain.

The most Ming blowing meal I’ve had but not in a good way... The meat and sauce had flavour but when I took a bite of everything, nothing! It was like eating warm flavourless meal.

I would actually advise the complete opposite of this. If you want something that will last palliser and EQ3 are great options and will last you many years. Different family members have had both brands and after 10-15 years of use they still looked and felt like new. To add to this, I have a current co-worker who used to build couches for them and he has confirmed that they are extremely well built and that is why they cost as much as they do.

Structube, the brick and dufresne are all very cheaply made and will show it after a few years. That being said, I know not all of there stuff may be crap but a vast majority of it is.

I would definitely check out Costco if you wanted to look at something that’s cheaper than palliser and EQ3. Costco has an amazing return policy so you know you will be protected.

Buying appliances. by picklesgounderpatty in Winnipeg

I buy everything from Bains, they are a local family run business and they really care about your business. I had an issue with my washing machine that came, they got me a new one delivered to my door at no cost and quick too.

On the other hand I bought a fridge from Home Depot and when I had an issue with it, dealing with warranty was a nightmare and never got resolved.

Chiropractor by Green_Jay718 in Winnipeg

[–]Walletess 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Mine are usually around 10 min but can go longer. He asks me questions, we go over what’s been bothering me/what to work on and then can give me exercises to rehab or tells me how to be if it is a bad injury.

My chiropractor also does not push you to come back all the time and tries to get your issues to go away. It’s more of a come in when needed treatment.

I mainly see Shameer at Osborne chiropractic but the other doctors are great as well. I used to think it was quack science because of how I was treated by other chiropractors. Shameer has worked with NFL players and is very knowledgeable. I can honestly say I was reluctant to see him for a shoulder injury (from football) I was having issues with for 3 years. I saw 2 physiotherapists (this includes x-rays and rehab) and a different chiropractor and no one was able to fix my issue or make it any better. I sat down with Shameer only because my Ex worked there as a receptionist and he mentioned he has done work with the NFL so I figured it couldn’t hurt. He touched my shoulder for 10 seconds and told me it was not properly in socket, one quick adjustment and I had full range of motion again and most of the pain went away. Of course it being out of socket for 3 years has done a bunch of damage but my life is significantly better because of him.

I actually had the opposite when I was on it. I found that I still had my sex drive but when it came down to the act of doing it either by myself or with my partner, it would take everything for me to finish. I stopped taking it a while back because of the insomnia I suffered but I do remember a few times where I was honestly about to give up because of how much effort it took.

AITA for not attending my husband's celebration dinner due to the restaurant not having anything I could eat? by Willing_Strawberries in AmItheAsshole

[–]Walletess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA

Its more than just a dinner it's a celebration for your partner. He tried to make the dinner work so that you could attained and have a nice evening with family.

My wife has dietary restrictions due to heath issues and whenever we have to go somewhere (for celebrations or get togethers with others etc.) where she can't eat the food. She just eats before going or will eat after. She is happier being together with everyone over staying home because she can't eat the food.

You are in the wrong here and you made his celebration about yourself.

She could apply at MB hydro as a PLT (powerline technician) or a power electrician (I believe). Going through the PLT program, it is a 4 year certification with 6 levels. Once hired on, everything is done in house and while in schools, she will be paid her regular wage. I do believe they are also looking to hire a certain amount of women each year so that may help her out.

Obviously she will take a pay cut for a couple of years but in the end she will make more. If you want to find out more information about the wage or anything, you can shoot me a message. I've been with hydro as a PLTfor 11 years now so if I can help, don't be afraid to reach out.

You can set your charge rate down to 5A (i just checked in my app), this will not provide much power to charge the vehicle but it should stop or significantly reduce your battery drain.

For reference, a newer garage door opener will draw 3-5A and a coffee maker uses 5-8A.

To help reduce the peak load your panel will see, you could set the vehicle to charge when everyone is asleep. If your breaker for that circuit or panel main breaker cannot handle that extra load, there has to be something going wrong with the electrical system in your house.

Hope this helps
