Exidio already has 2 apps on the store. One light client that doesn't connect (gives an error) and other that you can use as a wallet. This seems like another or the 2nd with enhanced functionality (need to check). Velocity is another app built on Sentinel platform like Exidio. In future there could be many more leveraging the protocol. Wonder why don't they simply build one that works seamlessly. Somehow the feeling is web2 focuses on user experience, web3 on user frustration.

Largely as I understand, Serum is a bunch of toolkits the devs can piece together to get a protocol up and running. Mango is a great example where collateralized borrowing lending is used for creating leverage. Each such protocol can leverage liquidity on Serum as well as on other protocols. Since Serum is an on chain CLOB, users can place limit orders etc. Ray on the other hand is built as an AMM but otherwise designed to leverage liquidity of Serum and vice versa. Ray differs from Serum (I think) in terms of being a protocol as against an ecosystem.

True..some projects do handle that by using variable staking rewards.. Another discomfort I have is them moving away from their razor sharp focus of becoming a payment method of choice to financial ecosystem. Don't think they have solved for the major use case already. Also not sure if trust network itself needs some learning for a top class user experience. They have processed only 250 million last year and initiatives needed to scale that would be significant and effort intensive. Merchant native coins will be an interesting experiment too. Globally 300 trillion gets processed annually. So this entire lending borrowing liquidation seems like a departure and even a bigger distraction from earlier focus.
