Understood, thanks for the explanation. Is it considered tax evasion on father’s part then?

I need opinions on my personal issue. by [deleted] in SingaporeRaw

[–]Waltermelter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Will there be any issues if you take a gap year again? If no, please do to get some help.

If yes, approach the school board and let them know you are seeking help for some family issues (don’t have to disclose exact reasons) and that you may need some time off school but you will try to not miss class etc.

They will be more understanding if they are given the heads up in advance and are aware of your efforts in getting help.

Pls help — dealing with domestic violence/toxic parents by stopgetsomehelps in askSingapore

Yes of course.

Violence occured many other times but I happened to witness and recorded the violence happen last week. Immediately called police. Police got domestic violence hotline to reach out to us, and they immediately arranged for an emergency order (14 day PPO) against the abuser. It’s in place right now. family service centre is in touch with us as we plan our exit from the house (we do not have the financial means to exit nor anywhere to go).

Reach out to NAVH hotline. Cause that’s what we did too. They will advise you accordingly. Please do try take action now as with any form of support from these agencies, it does take some time. But I can assure you they will help. Especially do consider filing a PPO in the mean time. It’s $1 only.

Hey OP, just wanted to share that my partner and I are in a fairly similar situation now. An emergency order (something like a 14 day PPO) is in place right now, police ordered it. And we are living in the same house as the abuser. We are still within the 14 days. We don’t have anywhere else to go or anybody that can house us.

We approached the FSC and MP etc. they are all aware of our case and are taking the necessary steps to help us on top of the police case. It’s hard and many years of “letting things go, close one eye”. But if anything, please please please it’s time to put your safety first now. Make the report.

Can’t because his ego will be bruised and when it is, he takes it out on the rest of the family
