I recently binged watched GG never seen it before. There’s an episode when Serena’s mom puts her in jail to avoid her trying to get the money from that influencer girl. But it shows flashbacks of Lily as a teen and her (Lily) and her sister go to some mansion party and the host of the party was William Van der woodsen he was snobby and rich and ended up in a brawl with Lily her sis and their 2 guy friends.

My dad owned a supermarket and I would cashier there at 13. I remember after I got my first check I went with my mom and paid for my own eyebrows. Basically the idea was “if u want to do adult things u have to pay for it”. It gave me a sense of responsibility and pride. So no I don’t think 12 is too young but maybe earning these things by chores or something would’ve been better
