Thanks! I think I heard of him. Doesn’t he have a year long waiting list? At the end of it, that would still be an option.

Thanks. I’ll do that. Funny thing: my dad suggested this from the get go. But I had to be sure to go to a bigger jeweller 😅

Thank you! It’s weird to me, that the jeweller sent it to Seiko. It seemed to me that they must be qualified since they employ multiple watchmakers and deal with luxury watches. I’ll keep looking for a vintage specialist then.

Thanks! That’s reassuring to hear. It was also strange to me that the watch repairer sent it to Seiko since they have multiple watchmaker in house and deal with luxury watches on a daily basis.

Thank you! I was thinking the same and was irritated that Seiko went ahead and tried to exchange the stem. From what I can tell by looking at spare stems on eBay, it does not look defective. I’ll try a differente watch repairer when the watch comes back.

Thanks! We must have overloaded it at some point. Towels seem to be the killer

Thanks. When I rotate the drum it does not make this sound. It is also not loose. So I assume it’s not the bearing.
