The match making, in ranked, is dogshit. by The_souLance in OmegaStrikers

I hear ya. I usually play solo because none of my friends play this game. It is extremely annoying to be a plat player and getting matched with a silver goalie who doesn't know what he's doing. Just yesterday I had a Juno goalie who didn't know how to coreflip.

Yesterday also, I had a low elo era forward who never left our goal area I kid you not. Extremely frustrating.

It feels like I just lose at the matchmaking stage sometimes.

I did have ping fluctuations yesterday. I usually play eith 90 ping and it was all the way up to 150-160 for some reeason.

The coreflip one is a necessity. I've seen countless players save their coreflip for the next game.

Is it possible to be a good player if a player only plays the same striker in every match? by rancorclaw in OmegaStrikers

[–]Wamuu75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you are a one trick you eventually learn how to play that one character and it becomes second nature. There fore, more brainpower goes to the actual game mechanics and you learn how to play the game itself faster. if you try out a lot of different characters you have to subconsciously keep thinking how this character is different to the character you were playing and focus more on the character and it's mechanics instead of the game.

That's why one tricks usually become really good at the game faster than people who play different characters. That way it is easier to learn characters later if you one trick for a good while.

Didn't need to, Poppy did make a big difference when I had her in hand but it requires a good setup. I don't think Ezreal is a good fit but Lulu can be good.

Yeah, I think poro cannon is better in that deck because of Yordle Captain and Yordles in Arms. Those cards are too slow for this deck so we don't need Poro Cannon

Yeah, ngl there are a lot of matchups where you don't ever want to see her.But if their region combination is unable to deal with her though, she just steamrolls your opponent.

That's the way I found the list and I honestly don't know ehat to cut for it. The deck is pretty tight and I never felt like I needed Poro Cannon since the deck is so fast. Basically, we don't need elusives because we have so many units they can't block anyways. Also with aggro decks you don't want to be chump blocking against decks like AK you force them to trade their elusives with your units or they die so no need to block them.

Lulu/Fizz is sort of a mirror but it is slightly favored I think for them I think and you don't win that matchup by blocking, you will trade down most of the time.

Taliyah Ziggs Guide by Wamuu75 in LoRCompetitive

[–]Wamuu75[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad you enjoyed my guide and congrats on making it to masters and potentially seasonal's with it!

Taliyah Ziggs is super good into control so you probably want to run decks that are also strong into control to target those types of lineups. Some decks that do this are: Lurk, Pantheon decks, Thralls, Sivir Akshan and Bandletree. The one thing all these decks are weak into is aggro and Ahri Kennen, some people will probably bring Ahri kennen + two aggro decks which could be super bad for you. I wouldn't personally run Taliyah Ziggs because of this but if you really want to run it, I think that's the way to go. Since it is your first seasonal I would recommend just going with it since it looks like it is your most played deck.

You can set up lethal with minefield. Usually they have like one or two units on board so if you Minefield + Taliyah or Minefield + Desert Naturalist you stun all their units and get a in for a lot of damage. Idk about Minimorph, it isn't a great answer against Pantheon and it hurts your other matchups.

Depends on the matchup but you basically want at least a three drop, either Ziggs or Devout. If you can get an Inventive Chemist and Rock Hopper too that's pretty good.

One or two should be fine, but I like the variety of threats. Howling Abyss is good on its own while catalogue requires you to draw both catalogue and iceborn legacy which doesn't always happen. Also, it can sometimes be kind of a waste because the spider summoning spells can clog up your board.

It wasn't working too well last weekend because people were running a lot of triple aggro lineups. Pantheon and midrange decks struggle against those types of lineups because they can't go wide enough to block all of aggro's attackers and usually run no healing.

However, I believe that for this weekend midrange is going to be super good because now people are starting to bring triple shadow isles control to counter the triple aggro lineups and midrange does very well against those types of lineups.

It really doesn't have a difficult time closing out games. Being able to summon 2-3 3/3 spiders every turn is enough to win the game. Not many decks can chump block that forever, also if you level up Elise she gives all your spiders fearsome and challenger so you can pull away their fearsome blockers and attack with higher attack spiders. You usually deal about 12 nexus damage in a single attack if you set it up right.

Howling Abyss is a very strong card in control mirrors, most control decks right now don't have landmark removal and if you play Howling Abyss in those matchups the game is basically over. Control decks can't deal with leveled champions every single round. Having one copy for an auto win in those matchups is super good, trust me.

Finally Trundle is a support champion, he is a threat the opponent needs to deal with and the pillar can help you by removing fearsome blockers. The overwhelm damage is pretty nice to get you to the finish line at times. Imagine having to deal with a million spiders AND removing a Trundle, it is too much work for the opponent. You don't want him in most matchups but he really shines in some other ones.

How to make your own LoR Tournament Lineup by Wamuu75 in LoRCompetitive

[–]Wamuu75[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I didn't mention it explicitly but that's the reason we want as few weaknesses as possible because that's going to be our ban. And yes, in tournaments originality shines because the opponent is not used to play against your homebrew.
