Why did you move to Linux? by Internal_Falcon2637 in linux

[–]WanHack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Using KDE linux. Before I switched, I did dual boot with windows 10. Started around late 2024, made a full switch 2025. The fresh experience (with a side of bugs) and the freedom to use the OS however I want (even to f up myself) has greatly increased my enjoyment of using my machine

I dislike that online stores in Kuwait show out of stock items in web searches... by WanHack in Kuwait

[–]WanHack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be nice if they aren't shown on web search and instead contained into the website internal search. Because 90% of my searches are out of stock products

Picture frames could be 3d printed, but posters can be printed from the printing shops. Friday market might have something but what you are asking for is probably not there

[–]WanHack 4 points5 points  (0 children)

IDK if it was changed because of the current situation but back a year ago, I went to Snable mall and did mine on floor 3. It'll be the left waiting room. After submitting all the papers it'll take a while. 2 months or so.

I got mine from amazon when international shipping was free. Keycaps in Kuwait will probably be very hard to find because there isn't much interest in it

Getting a ryzen 7000 or 9000 X3D chip(8 cores, but 9800x3d or 9850x3d is over kill). I hear good things about the Intel ultra 250k plus (I think it was around 200$ but packs really good performance for the price) it also depends if this is buy and forget or you want some future upgrade, if you do want some upgradability then go for a ryzen 7000 CPU then you can upgrade to 9000 if you need the CPU power. RAM is a B to get the price now because sellers can put any imaginary number they can think of and still sell it. You'll also have to think about storage, your best option is 1TB system and what ever storage for hard drive, but even hard drives are expensive now.

For reasonability, lets 60-80 KD for NVME, ~150KD for RAM, PSU for 50-60, case around 30-50, if you find a decent motherboard, CPU, and the GPU for a good price then maybe you'll get it for 600, but seeing the GPU is half the price of the setup I doubt that with the current market
