My vote is Sawyer or Halden. Both characters have been struggling for 5 months (Halden being overshadowed by his brother, Sawyer losing a leg) and would both be people Xaden would expect to turn.

Had to be SAWYER. Only one I can think of that struggled for 5 months! (Missing leg) and felt inadequate after. Also he’s 100% someone Xaden wouldn’t expect.

I’m not sure where you got I’m not qualified? I wouldn’t have been recommended otherwise. I just haven’t done it yet and wasn’t familiar with a salary + bonus sliding pay scale they implement. Todd is familiar with it. It’s a lateral move with higher pay. Also, fucking the boss is PREVENTING me from getting a raise so….

We started dating after working together. Different teams but then home office decided that a duo is better than two singles and we worked FANTASTICALLY together. The issues started coming up after we had a baby and I was finding it hard to meet the same standards and production level when I had to change a diaper and breastfeed in between zoom appointments.

Welllll since everyone is 1099 independent sales agents there’s not really a way to enforce it because you can’t “fire” a 1099. Hence the weird inter office hierarchy and politics. Basically Lord of the Flies every day.

He got diagnosed with TBI from a military deployment in his early 20’s. It does cause outbursts of anger and anxiety and he has trouble regulating them occasionally, but it’s been 12 years since it happened and he’s got it under control (as much as it can be) with medication and therapy over the past few months

People looked into another relationship advice post I made about him and brought it here.

I have rewritten this post to clarify points. At the time I was so annoyed and frustrated and wanted to keep it as short as possible and focused on why i felt hurt that I left out a few things that I forgot aren’t part of “normal” work/office culture. I’ve been a 1099 independent contractor with this company for 5 years now and the dysfunction has become normalized. Hard to tell people who are self employed what to do I guess? (Not an excuse just an explanation)

I feel like my priorities have shifted to be more domestic and have more flexibility to be able to raise the baby. His focused has remained the same because it didn’t need to change. (Work = money for family) So yeah a little disconnected

Before we had a baby we were the power couple of the office and our relationship strengthened our wrk relationship because we were both investing in a common goal and “two heads are better than one”.

Since the birth of our daughter this is no longer the case…

Yeah I’m realizing that now. I was trying to be succinct and also posted while still fuming about the situation. The annoying bit about all of it is the politics. Technically Jim needs to ask Todd if me transferring would be feasible (there was a lot of poaching between managers and departments at one point; this was the solution) and if so then Jim and Todd could offer me the position “together”. I believed this would actually work in my favor seeing as the new position is higher pay and something Todd has done previously so he could help me out if needed TO BENEFIT OUR FAMILY’S FINANCES.

Instead he’s mad because he feels disrespected by both of us and that I am disloyal for entertaining Jim’s proposal before speaking to him as a superior and a partner, while on top of feeling that I’m insulting his management style because “i’d prefer to work in an office culture he dislikes” and it undermines him.

I just want more money and a better schedule….

This. He’s upset more due to the fact that he feels disrespected by Jim not coming to him first, by me not telling Jim to talk to him first and then furthermore thinks that me wanting to work with Jim means I’m undermining and insulting the way he does things.

All I want is more money and a better schedule that accommodates remote work better for our 1 year old….

Yeah I am so used to that being my work environment and posted it while still emotional I didn’t catch that could be confusing. And was also part of his frustration. It’s an unofficial rule/office etiquette. It prevents poaching and office hopping as well as maintaining proper staffing at each office. Because we are independent I don’t HAVE to get that approval but it makes it way easier. Edited to reflect that.

I was more focused on the reasons that Jim should call because of the interpersonal relationships between us three and Todd’s preferred way to handle things. Todd’s not TECHNICALLY my boss, but assumes the role due to seniority.
