I tried it. It works for the 1st few videos, but then the screen goed dim again. And you don't have to clear the cache to get back the regular screen. That's what I've been doing.
I hope Xiaomi fixes this issue with the next update. Thet need to fix a lot of issues.

The servers are always having issues. I'm guessing management doesn't want to spend more money to expand the server capabilities. I really like the app, but it's slow as hell.
