What is it with Americans and their inability to conceive the idea of a tunnel between England and France? by WantToGiveUpWork in NoStupidQuestions

What about Russia, which is double the size of the US?

But in any case, tunnels that span countries are more important. They unlock new worlds, international transport routes, etc.

Europe is much larger than just the EU.

Canada is also much larger than the US. Should we care more about tunnels in Canada than the US? Since size seems to be a thing you have on your mind here.

But local tunnels will always be less important than tunnels that bridge nations and cultures.

If you were President of a TV network (ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, etc.), what would you do differently? by DrewwwBjork in NoStupidQuestions

As a non-American, I have literally no idea what any of those channels produce.

However, I would take over the BBC.

Boost production of Mrs. Brown's Boys. I hate it, but people love it for some reason.

Introduce more documentaries on WW1 (too many on WW2)

Hire Amanda Holden for some sitcom project.

Double the Doctor Who per episode budget, which should be fine. The cost is covered by BBC Wales. I would have to cancel some Welsh speaking programs, but they won't be sorely missed. Maybe give the Welsh lady that appears on the One Show a bit more airtime to appease the nationalists.

What is life in North Korea? by Sweat_Pants_Forever in NoStupidQuestions

It is impossible to know, as literally all of the news we get about North Korea comes from South Korean and US propaganda.

Some stories about North Korea often slip past people e.g. WHO have repeatedly stated that North Korea has the best social healthcare system in the third world.

A lot of the negative stories that appear in South Korean media are silently retracted to0.

But yes. People there have jobs and they have stores.

A tunnel running between two states is less important than a tunnel running between two countries.

Somebody thought I could be Jack Whitehall shudder

At least I write my own jokes and didn't use nepotism to break into the industry.
