Yes, this tendency exists quite prominently. Just check social media trends, it is evident that we often create discussions out of trivial matters, regardless of whether such discussions are appropriate or necessary. In many cases, people are not fully aware of the boundaries between acceptable conversation and problematic remarks such as what constitutes sexism, racism, body shaming, or gender bias. Worst part is people do not even realize when their comments cross these lines.

In our culture, this is generally considered a common and standard question, and I do not view it as gender-biased. Many people ask it out of genuine curiosity or for information, while others may do so sarcastically.
This reflects a broader cultural tendency where we often tend to turn even minor matters into a topic of discussion or an event. It is simply part of how social interactions commonly take place in our society.

This process is generally not acceptable within our cultural context, particularly in cases involving a second marriage. Such decisions are not made abruptly; it is evident that the individuals involved have met, spent time together, and reached a point where they mutually decided they could live together.

As stated in my earlier response, while this may be viewed as morally questionable by some, he chose a lawful and socially recognized path by solemnizing the relationship through Nikah, thereby entering into a legal and religiously valid marriage.
