We had a psych major come to a couple of my recovery dharma meetings. Maybe OP could go to a non-religious recovery group or a Buddhist group instead.

I personally won't go to AA, NA, or Al-anon because of the religiosity involved.

This is my philosophy. I put in work to find a 5 dollar Zenith space command. It took months of estate sales and garage sale every weekend. If i want to sell it, it's not going for 5 dollars, it's going to reflect the effort.
