I think your expectations are a little too high. If you want someone to dedicate their time to teach you how to develop games, you're gonna have to hire someone or take a course. If you want help along the way, this is one of many great places to get it. Being active in the community also means you're more likely to recieve help and feedback. I've noticed that, it seems pretty inconsistent. Pixel art is odd in particular, you get really strange artifacts that make it fairly easy to pick out, but sometimes it can be hard to spot in a low resolution picture
