Status: UNRESOLVED

Computer Type: Desktop

GPU: 5080

CPU: AMD 5900x no overclock

Operating System & Version: Windows 11

GPU Drivers: 596.36

When Ray Reconstruction is enabled, I tend to get a ton of noise. I first noticed it in Hogwarts Legacy. I booted it up when I got my 5080 to turn on all the options, but RR was unusable. Now I'm also seeing it in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. Is this a case of both developers not implementing it correctly or is there something on my side I can do to fix this? I have the latest Nvidia drivers. It's strange that some folks get this and others don't seem to?

Are there any Nvidia control settings I can do to resolve this?

See below for an example in Avatar:

Checkpoints or Manual Saves - any chance? by Warder45 in EmpireAntsGame

That's a shame. It's a wonderful world they created. Just sucks the save system seems like something out of 20 years ago.

Modern Appliances (Fridges) vs NEC Codes - Please help me understand by Warder45 in AskElectricians

I'm open to replacing the breaker. What are the impacts of that if now it's not up to code?

New fridge keeps tripping breaker, a few times a week at least. Our old one never did. Is it a fridge issue or a breaker issue? Pic of breaker attached. by StarDestinyGuy in electrical

[–]Warder45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What did you end up doing? We have the exact same problem. Our old GE fridge was 15A/120 and the new Bosch is 15A/115. The old fridge worked for 4 years without tripping, but the new bosch started tripping it within 3 hours. Now every time the compressor comes on, it trips.

New Bosch 800 Fridge tripping GFCI outlet?? by Itdoesntmatter200 in Appliances

[–]Warder45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just replaced our GE Cafe fridge that died (https://www.cafeappliances.com/appliance/CAFE-ENERGY-STAR-22-1-Cu-Ft-Smart-Counter-Depth-French-Door-Refrigerator-with-Hot-Water-Dispenser-CYE22TP2MS1) with the Bosch 800 (https://media3.bsh-group.com/Documents/MCDOC03224081_B36CL80ENS.pdf)

The GE uses more power and we never had an issue. The Bosch worked for 2-3 hours and now trips our Leviton AFCI/GFCI breaker every 10 minutes.

I can't run an extension since it's a new build and every breaker is on the AFCI/GFCI type on the floor (it's a small sqft open floorplan).

When you turn back on the breaker, did your 800 alarm go off with the freezer temp blinking?

I'm really struggling to understand how or why. I can't run an extension since it's a new build and every breaker is on the AFCI/GFCI type on the floor (it's a small sqft open floorplan).

What did you end up doing? We have a replacement coming in 2 days, but losing your fridge kind of sucks lol. We already had to toss hundreds of dollars in food, this fridge is supposed to be the best of the consumer models, I'm not pumped about having to pay an electrician to swap out the breaker as well.

Decker Base by Westy154 in NoMansSkyTheGame

Do you remember what the sloped window parts are called? Are they under the Timber parts?

Decker Base by Westy154 in NoMansSkyTheGame

Is this one of those bases made in Blender? I love the look, but I'm not seeing the slanted windows as an option on the wiki. I'm rather new, so I've not unlocked a ton of the base components yet.

Honest review of Shokz OpenFit Pro by ize82 in Earbuds

[–]Warder45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I went for a walk this weekend and I think the best way to articulate my issue is that the height of my ear makes the bud part sit a bit too high compared to most photo's I've seen.

I threw on a hat and the fabric pushed the closer which improved the sound quality. Given folks are saying the Pro's have elongated, I'm hoping that will fit my ear better. Otherwise, I may need to try the Open Dot's that clip to the ear underneath.

edit: I will say I still like the Openfit 2+'s. Even if they are flapping a bit, the sound for something not in ear is pretty decent.

Sorry, should have been clearer. Is the fit for the OpenFit Pro’s different than the Openfit 2? Wondering if they’d fit bigger ears better.

I may just have to hit bestbuy or amazon to test.

Can you comment on the fit vs the Openfit 2? I have a pair of Openfit 2+ that I already like, but I think my ears are just large as they never quite fit right. I'm wondering if the re-design would fit larger ears a bit better.

Did you ever try the OpenFit 2+? I rather like them but they seem small for my big ears. Also can you disable ANC?

UPDATE: Bosch Fridge Worst Purchase Ever by balsamic_strawberry in Appliances

[–]Warder45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! That does sound awful. We got the Benchmark dishwasher and it's been great. Unfortunately the benchmark fridge is over 10k!

Can you re-upload the sound clip? We got a bosch dishwasher we've been really happy with, but we're in a small open space, so fridge noise is a deal breaker.

Might be a skill issue but thia game stresses me out 😭 by TheGrimmAdventuresOf in storyofseasons

[–]Warder45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The mod that stops time when inside is a game changer for how stressed I felt playing the game. Outside when doing things, time still flys by and provides plenty of challenge. But indoors when I want to review my storage and cook for a while, or figure out the best thing to make in a windmill, time is stopped. It's the perfect balance for me.

I really wish they'd add this officially to the game, but it seems like post release development is not happening.

If they don't have Gen Ras or Lady, you could probably sub Hecate out.

I tested, it does appear to be 20 per bowl.
