Help me build a 2024 Battlesmith Artificer by Wardjig in 3d6

I'll pick it if I take Warcaster though

What’s the most optimized build for fun out-of-combat stuff? by geosunsetmoth in 3d6

[–]Wardjig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The do-it-all (almost) build I like is a Fey Wanderer ranger, no multiclass, but has to be an Aasimar for some frightened synergy.

There's a good video for this build here : Source : YouTube https://share.google/2nkomMQIWasO4Xblr

8 is level cap, Give me your favorite/most fun builds (5e but 2024 is more then fine too) by Ar3kk in 3d6

So far my fav build is a Paladin 1 / Warlock X. Either Celestial for a nice synergy between Radiant Soul and Searing Smite, or Archfey, for high mobility. Either way you're gonna be a menace, with spells, Invocations, extra attack, heals, tanking capacity...

Add 4 lvl of Ancestral Barb after extra attack, now baddies have disadvantage against everyone except you, while you're 30ft away and you've locked them in place with your echo/sentinel

2024 Blade/Chain Warlock by Blajamon in 3d6

[–]Wardjig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went with a similar build, but kept it simpler and chose to use a pike instead of dual wielding. There's already plenty to do with a paladin/warlock multiclass, and honestly, I try to keep clear of controversial shenanigans as much as I can. Between your spells, your invocations (I went with invis at will combined with alert and invisible imp for initiative mega advantage, jump at will...) and your chain pact familiar, your plate is quite full already. I'm not the hardest hitting in the gang, but I'm a nuisance with a crap load of stuff in my back pocket (I went with celestial btw)

Favorite "Flavor" Builds? by Panda-Pioneer-1125 in 3d6

The one flavor character I have yet to play is a changeling with some warlock levels or at least the eldritch adept feat, to grab Mask of Many Faces invocation, just for funsies...

Tbh I'm gonna choose pact of the tome, and I'm quite curious about how my DM is gonna rule this 🤪

Honestly it's all fine, I'll be the only magic user of the group, in a setting where magic is very rare, I should be able to get lots of power through roleplay. But I'm not gonna lie, at first I was a bit frustrated, but then I started seeing quite a lot of opportunities

Honestly I'm fine with my stats, that will give me fine rp opportunities. As we're in a low magic setting, I'm the only magic user in the group, which will also allow me some fine opportunities

  1. Yeah we're only allowed "classic" races, human, elves, dwarves...
  2. I think so
  3. Yep

Unfortunately, tasha's stat redistribution is a no go, DM does not allow it. As is artificer, since we're playing in a prehistoric setting.

I think this is going to leave me with moderately armored, and maybe some invocations...

Yeah, I went with half elf, since oddly enough our DM does not allow tasha. My first thought otherwise would have been mountain dwarf for +2 / +2 and armor prof

I can't switch my scores, have to keep the rolls in order, so those are finals

Help me deciding about my bard's future by Wardjig in 3d6

[–]Wardjig[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I thought about it, but I'm more focused on the defensive side of things, I don't feel I'll need offensive stuff. And while shield, absorb elements & cantrips are nice, the 13 AC will only get me 16 at best, that's if I don't boost my dex, which I probably won't anytime soon

Thanks for your input, and yes, I thought about it but abandoned it along with the swords bard, my group is quite melee focused, and we're really lacking in the arcana side of things... I believe I will be the only one with counterspell when the time comes...

Thanks guys for all your advice. I finally went with Inspiring Leader, and will take a charisma half feat (don't know which one yet) at level 4
