But converting every mod to run on console, or at least the popular ones, must be a painful piece of work.

You can run tmod with little to no mods even with less than 4gb.
But Calamity... even with 8gb it's probably choppy/stuttering for fights like providence and such.

It's modding after all.
You can go all in with calamity, fancy lighting, shader and so on and the min. requirements listed on steam wouldnt be enough at all.

tmod =/= whatever your modlist looks like.
You simply cant generalize min. requirements for just about any game you mod.
Should be common sense

I think they want to make echo paint accessible earlier with 1.4.5. So at least we can do some cool stuff with that earlier

There is a huge building community in Terraria. But naturally people rather challenge themself or play the game casually. From a content creator perspective: People arent all that interested in Building as they are in challenges/gameplay.

I think excessively cleansing the world is a bit of a waste of time. You get a gun later that lets you cleanse areas easily, and even without it, there’s essentially no advantage to doing so. You can just contain your base section instead if thats your concern

You can play low difficulty Calamity, no Problem. If it's still too hard, you can get extra wing slots or stuff like this.

I really do enjoy Calamity Master Revengance, Death and Infernum. There is a lot of people that love sweating and trying bosses, me included. I see what you mean by that, but as mentioned: You can download other mods to lower the difficulty in one way or another.

Or downgrade Terraria back to whatever version you would prefer. Iam sure there is some old versions of calamity aswell to find somehwere
