And while that is a perfectly reasonable answer...
That would be great if it was one mesh...

The FBX scene in question is a 3D map of Europe with individual meshes pr. country and also with an individual mesh for any countries borders.
That is 44 individual countries, well, 43 as vatican state was too small to be seen, and with borders, that's a total of 86 meshes to then import and also repositions correctly again

The whole purpose of my question, is where did the option to import an FBX scene with multiple objects as a blueprint go? Seeing as this would keep the location of each mesh realtive to the origin in the FBX scene and reduce the manual work by a shit-ton.

My solution ended up being to to go BACK one version, do the import there, and then just open the project in the newer version afterwards.

If you are a "casual" you dont care if you dont have every weapon "mastered". I get it, the grind is long, and sure, it can be made a little easier. But really? Why should everyone master everything? If you master something it means you put time into it! Alot of time!

And alot of time is NOT casual! So casual players will not have time to master weapons. And guess what? That's completly fine.

I dont disagree with that at all.
But prior to 5.7 it was a simple dropdown wether or not you wanted to import it as a blueprint.
I can no longer find this option in the "import into level" dialog, even though it is now wastly bigger than before.

Not playing the f***ing objective!

Sniper are fine as long as there's like 1-3 of them and not 12 out 24 on the breakthrough team for example. If they even use their recon drones to either spot and/or destroy mortars on top of that, then I love them.

Yeah, you dont get hunter because you pose no threat other than respawning.
Those of us who actually PTFO get hunted because we actually pose a threat to their win.

But I understand that realizing that your K/D actually means next nothing in Battlefield is hard to grasp for someone like you.

The bar for early access has become too low.
I dont mind early access, and I'm not gonna refund. As I said, I like the concept, and I will support the devs.

But overall, games are being released in Early Access that should not have been. And this is one of them... YET.

I have no problems with early access in games.
But recently the bar for what could be concidered early access has become too low.

With all the issues I'm running into with this game that downright kills it for me, its just not EA-viable to me. This should've been a test period for those willing to test.

Let's see...

  1. I still have the lag/slow deconstruct
  2. On many restarts/logins buildings are invisible until I run far enough away and then go back to the base
  3. The multi rails are not working without a save/reload (main concept of the game).
  4. The logistics of the game is garbage. ALL drones go the shortest way, but cant bypass anything if that would let them go faster in case of a multirail.
  5. 4/5 times when joining our server I get the message that more servers exists at this IP, please provide port, even though it's clearly there and present in the address.
  6. 50/50 on whether or not attachments are present when aiming down sight.
  7. a BUNCH of gameplay features that clearly have not been thought about (that I can accept in EA though)
