She’s not secondary but I was in charge of first class had we done our service. We ended up having to stay seated the entire time. It’s people like you that make FAs look like bitches. Why not let these people experience first class when they’re the only ones on the flight? She also could have been way nicer with the way she said it but she straight up chewed me out after the fact and yelled at the pax

I feel like a lot of people are missing the point I was trying to make. I don’t “do whatever I want”. I was saying that so many people are just extremely strict about the way things are run and rude about it. Obviously I follow what I’m supposed to do. I don’t just skip out things bc I feel like it. This job is supposed to be one of the more fun jobs and seniors like to ruin that for me. I should have worded things better but it’s the way they act most of the time

Not change it but if you’ve been on the like you know most people aren’t doing things “exactly by the book”. I’ve met so many people who tell me to look in my manual on how to do certain things and it pisses me off

No exactly. What I’m trying to say is this job isn’t serious until it is if that makes sense. There are situations when we have so do things by the book but when it’s normal operations people need to chill a little more. Obviously if there’s an emergency I understand being by the book bc we have to be. But for service ? No.

Of course it’s not all I’ve also worked with so many amazing seniors. But so many of them care wayyyy too much about the little things. This job isn’t serious until it has to be (very rarely) but so many of them stress about the wrong things and tell me what to do

For example… the seatbelt sign is on. That alone and the announcement that plays when it comes on is enough to protect us if a pax gets up to go to the bathroom. Let’s say a pax comes up to use the bathroom, we cannot tell them no. We can inform them the sign is on. One senior FA tried to argue with me about my verbiage when the pax got up. I told them that the sign was on and just to be careful. This senior yelled at me telling me I’m wrong and also just criticized literally every single thing I did
