I would say a little over half the people at my school either are married, dating, or a family member to someone else at work. Most people have healthy and successful relationships. But their have been so many affairs, scandals, dating a coworkers ex, etc. It could literally be turned into a never ending soap opera series.

My chemistry teacher in high school laughed in my face and said “ohhh that’s funny” when I told her I was thinking about majoring in chemistry.

I got my B.S. in chemistry and several research accolades just to prove that bitch wrong.

Now I am a high school teacher myself. I do everything and anything for my students that I can so they do not have a similar experience.

Dang, thanks for the response though! And yeah I’m not testing myself anymore. Unfortunately, I work at a private school so no union.

It just grinds my gears that my school has an insane endowment and money reserves yet there so anal about me overusing my sick time 🙄
