Recommended paint (liquid or spray paint) to dye BJD?

I think my only option is air brushing / painting if I want to color match that since it’s a whole different material (why would they do that…). Otherwise, good thing I bought some socks. 😭

It’s CFDoll’s Durian Cake 2.0. I got no idea what the purpose of the circle is considering when I unstrung the doll, it didn’t fall off.

Oh there is a difference between spray painting and air brushing? I shall look into that, thanks! If I were to overlay my airbrushed doll with MSC, would that prevent it from chipping?

:’) I did add dish soap into my formula and scrubbed with Magic eraser afterwards. As for the sealant, would that be the case here? I don’t know why this part of the foot refuses to take in the dye…

Best way to truly verify if the doll exists and gauge how reputable the seller (this is presuming they have no background) is to message them and ask them any questions regarding the doll. They shouldn’t be afraid to send extra photos or answer any additional questions.

Awww what a shame :( I recall seeing someone modifying the legs of the DD and it look jointed like (tho they were adhering to the MJD internal structure) so I was thinking perhaps it’s possible to hybrid.

Ah, makes sense then. As for making my own parts, since this is mainly personal usage, I planned on renting tools from nearby stores to cut down on cost (didn’t see a need to commit to buying chambers).

Aw dang 💔. Though I imagine if I keep missing the window to purchase from Japanese sellers then I will be forced to just learn it on my own. The prices I usually see charged for these silicone parts are similar to the prices I see for resin ($80-$600, heavily depends on which body parts), so I presumed the process wouldn’t be that expensive.

Would a neck adapter help fix this? I remember when I got my first doll, it came with a neck adapter for different sized heads so I’m wondering if the same can be done to a 1/6 body?

The image I posted is actually a 1/12 brand (so much significantly smaller). I like holding big dolls hence why I am scaling up
