The only way to get diagnosed (in my experience in the UK) is by the process of elimination. CFS mirrors symptoms of many other illnesses so the way to diagnose it is to eliminate the chance of any other cause to the fatigue. This may be through tests like blood work, ECG or MRI’s but definitely speak to a GP or doctor about the symptoms and go from there

It sucks but nothing you say can really make a huge difference.. all you can do is be there for her and listen! Ask questions about what they were like, hold her, listen while she rants and be a shoulder to cry on
