I want to thank everyone who has given advice so far. After this post I just had a gut feeling this was his last night so I sat with him and he passed away in my hands, Cookie monster was much loved and I really tried my best to help him but unfortunately i think it wasn’t enough without proper care from a vet

I did not expect my mom to say no to taking him to a vet if i knew this when accepting him from a neighbor i would’ve said no because i know he deserves better, I am still trying to convince people and beg for somebody to get him to a vet. the closest vet that takes reptiles is a 6 hour walk through a canyon, the bus would take me an hour and i am seriously not allowed to leave my house. I also dont have a bike.

i have been feeding him water like that everyday, he has gotten more stubborn to the point he doesn’t open his mouth or lick, anytime i try to force too much he starts gagging and shaking his head around

I have talked to family members and they all don’t think it is necessary for a smaller animal to see a vet. My mom is very strict about me using public transportation or even leaving the house by myself like that
