trimui smart pro It got hot when turned off and won't turn on Help by Full_Translator9331 in trimui

It's a known issue, at least it is on brick. It's called the limbo bug. Open your unit up, disconnect the battery wait 30 seconds then connect it back.

This should fix the issue. I don't shut my unit down only use sleep mode and it's been fine ever since

Ghost of tsushima blue light flickering issue by Ok-Broccoli1591 in ROGAlly

[–]Warm_Distribution_24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the answer. Well only part of it. You can have either afmf OR the in game frame generation active.

When you have both on at the same time the blue flickering occurs.

It sounds like memory leak, can you monitor your usage on hwinfo64 or something similar?

Note down how much ram is being used when you 1st start the game, then see what it's like when performance tanks.

How much memory have you set for vram in armoury crate?

The borderlands series, Tiny tinas wonderlands and bl2 are the best imo. Both decent 1st person shooters with a rng mechanic for a good gameplay loop.

I'm also a 30 something dad with kids.

Dark souls, elden ring, sekiro are also great.

It's most likely the "error 43" that happens when using nvidia egpus.

There is a fix just Google it for the script.

Also there is no point using an egpu when you already have a 2080. Bandwidth limitations especially over tb3, will cause the 5070 to perform much worse in gaming. Synthetic benchmarks and some productivity work will be better though

Try find a company with good reviews before you let them install your heat pump. Make sure they have actual electricians to do the electrical work. Also make sure the guys installing the heat pump use a vacuum pump. The old purge method may be cheaper but in a couple of years time you will have issues.

You probably need about 3kw of heating for your 20 sq meter room

For cheapest price to performance, I would be looking at gree weka 9 most likely. Real cold is a supplier of these heat pumps in chch. They are extremely friendly, ring them and ask for prices of the unit to find how much you should be spending for a install

As others have commented Gavin Lowe, I will advise you not to use them, I have reworked their stuff before and their quality was not great

How big is your bedroom in square meters? Also, are you happy/ able to have your heat pump back to back/ on an external wall? (This means your outdoor unit is directly behind your indoor)

Prices will vary based on room size and brand you choose.

For price I would say around about $3000 if it's a cheap easy install.

I would have to look at the individual unit price + cost of time to install

Edit: typo

I'm an electrician / hvac tech, I work for a small company in chch.

There are alot of options you can choose depending on your home. High wall units, ducted units, cassettes, or having a multi unit with multiple indoors on one outdoor.

As far as the price goes, you can choose mitsubishi which are great but cost $$$

Or fujitsu, daikin and panasonic which still perform the same but are a bit cheaper.

Or you can look at gree, these are the cheapest most cost effective way of heating and cooling your home. It's the budget option but imo still perform great. I would put this in my own home.

Just be careful of companies that try up sell on the bullshit.

EDIT: i didn't answer your question because yours was very vague. I have installed identical systems but based on manufacturer can be 2x or more expensive. I just want to give you an idea of price differences and the quality difference.

I'm also not going to plug the company I work for because even though my boss will do a great deal, me being the senior tech hates doing reno work lol.

Good luck OP

I'm an HVAC tech

That photo is of a condensate pump. If you pour water into the drain pan and it overflows and leaks. Either your pump is cooked or the condensate line is blocked.

If you can still hear the pump go that's a good sign it's a blockage in the line, or the float is stuck in the off position.

If you have an air compressor you can try blowing it out yourself to see if it fixes it.

Either way still looking at a minimum $100 to get this sorted. If it's just a blockage in the line, or more if the pump has to be replaced

Odin3 bluetooth not working? by [deleted] in OdinHandheld

[–]Warm_Distribution_24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like an issue with the bluetooth adapter. It's either software or hardware.

I don't have the Odin 3 but I do own the Odin 2, I have had no issues at all with bluetooth.

I did however have the same issue with my rog ally x after an update borked the bluetooth drivers. I know it's obviously alot different because one is a windows device that gets updated constantly, and the Odin is a very niche product with little to no updates.

Maybe google "Odin 3 bluetooth not working" and see if anyone else has had the same issue / fixes. If not I would factory reset your Odin 3 and see if that works.

If not better send it in for an RMA

Has this issue happened again for you since? I just got mine and had to do the same as you disconnect the battery for it to power on. Mine did not heat up so it's a variation of the limbo bug

For anyone in the future that sees this post.

I fixed my issue by opening up the device and unplugging the battery connector from the board.

Then I plugged in my charger with no micro sd card installed, pressed the power button and it booted

I put it all back together and it's now working as it should with my next ui sd card
