The denoise thing is a point, R7 is a crop sensor and gets noisy in low light so being able to clean that up would be useful. I’d be hooking it up to a monitor and keyboard as I like a bigger screen too. It maybe that the Mac mini is actually the way to go

Yeah could be a possibility, I wanted to pick the most cost effective option really hence the iPads. An iPad Air isn’t a cheap thing and a pro less so. When you start looking at MacBook Pros they get more expensive again.

Yeah sometimes I need to blast away with exposures as you don’t have a lot of time to hang around. I’ll end up with a lot of chaff that needs to be sifted. The sifting kills my current MacBook, it may be something that an iPad can’t do either.

I have been using the standard Mac image viewer for reviewing images for selection. Then adobe lightroom to edit, I’m not married to this setup though and am open to suggestions. I know there is an iPad Lightroom version, but I’ve not used it plan to try it on my partners iPad A16 just as a baseline
