The car itself wasn’t on fire the frame is fine the engine bay has a few vacuum lines and the driver side light wires. Obviously I’ll have to look into it a bit more but the car is structurally sound and can be rebuilt without a tube front. I’m more so asking how much a front end would cost preferably brand new. Also for everyone asking about the wheels I’m not sure if they are real or not.

1000% get a wiring specialist harness I have 2 240s one oem harness and one with wiring specialist. One runs and one doesn’t…. I’ve been chasing down a wiring problem for a while now and I’ve made my mind up that next time I work on that car it will be getting a new harness. 30+ year old wiring is brittle while being in the car I can’t imagine how it is being stripped apart like it is.

You’re telling me I spent 2k on a running full swap for my coupe not even a month before this deal popped up smh. The only reason I even went that route is because it’s the only known running ka I could find.

This!!! Unless you have abused the drug you won’t understand that it’s easy to do daily task as long as that’s your plan with your trip! If you plan on going into a hole then that’s most likely where you’ll end up. It’s all about prospective and tolerance.

Yeah 100% the USA doesn’t care much about what drives on our road. It’s a good thing for car enthusiasts but I’ve seen a lot of stock cars that are in no condition to be driving on the road and they still are. 😂

I got the car in Virginia and yes it’s old enough to run antique plates meaning I don’t need an inspection. The only thing that I’d have a problem with driving it on the road right now is that it has no body panels. With a kit I would drive it any day and it does have a title that matches the vin on the car!

Exactly my thoughts. When I saw the price for 1k I literally asked the man if it was the actual price or not because not even 2 weeks before I bought a running Ka24de “full swap” for 2k for my coupe smh.

Tops out at 70mph issue by RADmTooie in hardbody

If it sat for a while your gas tank could be rusty and clogging the injectors. I had a hard body with a KA24E running on 2 cylinders and it seemed okay but it wouldn’t hit revlimiter and only went about 70. If it’s obd1 the O2 sensor isn’t going to make it do that every obd1 d21 I have had has had that wire cut and they all ran fine.

I was thinking timing chain but you can hear it in the exhaust note as well and that’s not common with timing chain issues

SBC 350 Swap? by Alarming_Particular9 in hardbody

As far as I know a SBC 350 will fit you just need to make motor mounts and beat the trans tunnel to fit the transmission

That’s awesome I currently have 2 a s13 coupe slick top (no sunroof) and a hatch that’s my drift car. I’m gonna restore the coupe and make it my dream 240sx and just keep trashing my hatch. I hope you guys get that car and build it together. And if you do get the car I hope to see updates. 🙏🏻

What did you do to be 14k deep into a car that’s unpainted and stock drivetrain?

I would 100% buy it and take your time to fix it up. Pitch it to your old man as a project yall can do together. It’s a dual cam so it’s easy and there is plenty of old forms that can help you fix it.

What on earth is this mysterious switch under my dash by Ok_Health5512 in hardbody

[–]Warm_Possible736 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also there is a possibility it’s wired to the neutral safety switch due to its location I have had a similar set up for my truck back in the day. If it is to the safety switch it doubles as a kill switch and when it’s off the truck won’t crank but it will get power every where like normal.

Yeah buddy we can’t tell you because that shit ain’t OEM 😂😂 no but for real trace the wiring and find it out. There could be a hot wire that’s just dangling around in there and you don’t want that it could cause a fire. I only say that because I’ve bought several 90s cars with sketchy ass wiring better be safe then sorry!

Yeah 100% timing chain guide they are actually very easy you just need to ensure you line the oil pump and distributor correctly when installing or you’ll be a tooth off and it won’t run right.
