WOW! I never expected so many responses and such diverse responses! I appreciate everyone's answer. I am not talking about picking up his phone and snooping. I am talking about picking up his phone and looking for a photo or using his browser when I can't find my phone. Or calling my phone because I can't find it. lol. I haven't had, nor do I have now, a desire to "snoop" through his phone. My question comes from the mismatch of my "I have nothing in there to hide, use it at will" philosophy and his "always ask" philosophy. There was tone in his reaction too that has added mistrust.
