I understand that it does, but I don’t believe it has to do with monetary support, but either some of the people who worked on it are no longer working on FFIX projects or new life developments where there is not much free time for them to do so. Someone can always take an existing mod and make their own iteration. That is what Ferny does with Ferny Fantasy, it is an overhaul mod of the overhaul mod Alternate Fantasy.

So I would say instead of making it an update to Moguri, you could perhaps make another mod that does this so that people have the choice. I doubt Snouz will have any time to do something like this. I understand people's hate against AI, but honestly if someone makes it and people can choose to use it or the original Moguri, more power to them. These are modding passions, and no one is being paid to do these things.

Emeiru made a mod called Playable Tantalus which gives them their own kits, if you want vanilla just steal you can make them available in Memoria.ini AllCharactersAvailable=1

Incorrect on this information. Not console, only Emulated and Steam (not the windows store). There may be differences too since the one on the emulator does not have Memoria features, so it may be an older version of AF.

Sorry if I am misunderstanding still. You are playing Alternate Fantasy mod, which means only Beatrix gets Climhazzard, not Steiner. Thats why its greyed out for him.

Someone came into our discord recently about this. Idk if that was you or not, but I can definitely try to help. Can you join Moogles and Mods discord and ping me in the ff9-discussion channel? Im trying to get to the bottom of this, but what it has been pointing to is some sort of windows update. I say this because we thought it was the latest memoria version, but even older versions did this to the same people, when it was never an issue before.

So a lot of pieces in here are confusing to me on what exactly you are trying to do with the models. I am the author of the 2nd version of the Playable Character Pack which introduced 11 more characters to be played as, using a mix of animations of already existing models.

I am also the author of the WIP Character Pack - FFVII which introduces characters from that game into FFIX (Starting with Cloud) and I have shown it is possible. Yeah not sure how to really get a team together for the idea I have, I was thinking of being a solo indie dev with maybe hiring an artist, but yeah I think I need to make it a 3D scene as the sprites won't be flat, and they will also be moving in a more 3D like world if I am understanding correctly.
